also with patience, and also cause others to truly hold patience, and also speak praises of patience, and when seeing a person with patience, the mind rejoices. Combine the five types of patience of a noble person with what was previously taught. After that, there are seven types of pure diligence, as follows: What is called "thoroughly understanding the equality of diligence" is to cultivate diligence with equal diligence, neither too lax nor too hasty, and to practice diligence equally. To treat all that should be done with equality and respect. In the context of pure diligence, combine the equality mentioned earlier with this. What is called "initiating diligence, not praising oneself, nor slandering others" is to initiate constant diligence and practice it equally, for the sake of continuous practice. What is called "having power" is respectful diligence for the sake of spontaneous accomplishment. What is called "having diligence" is diligence that is in accordance with the cause, generated by the power of the previous cause. What is called "having joy" is diligence arising from practice, for the sake of engaging in the virtuous side after individually examining. What is called "stable conduct" is diligence that is not disturbed because it is not disturbed by all the harms of suffering and cannot be changed. What is called "diligence in virtuous dharmas" is purity through pure practice. For the reality of the first dhyana, as a method, cause, or sign of practice, what is indispensable is the sign. Relying on a thorough understanding of it, Bodhisattvas meditate on the samadhi of completely purified shamatha, vipassana, and equanimity through the pure method of reality. What is called "meditating on the perfect samadhi" is obtaining speech by obtaining reality. When obtaining the reality of the first dhyana, abiding by accomplishing samadhi with investigation and analysis, and samadhi with only analysis without investigation, is called perfect samadhi. Relying on it, Bodhisattvas, through the pure attainment of reality, meditate on shamatha and vipassana and

Meditating on the equanimity of perfect purity's samadhi. The one who meditates on the samadhi of the two parts is said to be pure because of the superior purity in the essence, that is, from the attainment of both the essence of the first dhyana and the approximation of the second dhyana, up to the attainment of both the essence of the realm of nothingness and the approximation of the peak of existence, one and two essences are attained. By cultivating and abiding in the samadhi without thought or examination, one knows appearances correctly and also sees forms. This is called the samadhi of the two parts. Relying on it, bodhisattvas meditate on the samadhi of perfect purity of calm abiding, insight, and equanimity, due to the purity of the means of empowerment. The one who meditates on the samadhi that arises from force is said to be pure because of the purity of entering, abiding, rising, and empowerment. When all the approximations and essences below the peak of existence are attained, entering, abiding, and rising are accomplished naturally without the need to seek. This is called the samadhi that arises from force. Relying on it, bodhisattvas meditate on the samadhi of perfect purity of calm abiding, insight, and equanimity, due to the purity of empowerment over abiding. The one who meditates on the non-abiding samadhi is said to be pure because of the purity of empowerment over returning from meditation and entering into samadhi again. When all meditations, liberations, samadhis, and samapattis are attained, there is no savoring of them, and one attains the empowerment of conformity and non-conformity, sudden transcendence, gathering of limbs, gathering of objects, union of limbs, union of objects, and union of limbs and objects. This is called the non-abiding samadhi. Relying on it, bodhisattvas meditate on calm abiding, insight, and perfect purity of equanimity, due to the purity of empowerment over accomplishing higher knowledge. The one who meditates on the samadhi of extreme pliancy is said to be the empowerment over transformation by higher knowledge.
