It should be done. How does one manifest actions through the body? Because it is without mind, it arises relying on the body. Who is the one who enters in order to directly realize the fruit of the Arhat? It is the Non-Returner who, from the moment of abandoning one of the nine aspects of afflictions to be abandoned by meditating on the first dhyana, up to abandoning eight of the nine aspects of the peak of existence. When he abides on the uninterrupted path that eliminates those nine aspects of the peak of existence, he is also entering in order to directly realize the fruit of the Arhat, and that uninterrupted path is called the Vajra-like Samadhi. Who is the Arhat? It is that entrant who, at the end of the Vajra-like Samadhi, the uninterrupted path that eliminates the ninth aspect of the afflictions of the peak of existence, has obtained the final path of liberation that has eliminated all nine aspects of afflictions, and has attained the knowledge of exhaustion, the knowledge of non-arising, and has obtained the Dharma of No More Learning. Therefore, he is worthy of benefiting others, and is worthy of being offered to by all those with attachment, therefore he is called an Arhat. There are six types: one who is subject to falling away, one who contemplates death, one who protects, one who does not move from his abode, one who has a share of realization, and one who is not subject to falling away. Among these, who is the one who is subject to falling away? It is the Arhat with dull faculties who, if he declines, is one who has the nature of falling away from the fruit he has obtained. Who is the one who contemplates death? It is the Arhat with dull faculties who, if I were to fall away from the fruit I have obtained in this life, it would not be good, but rather I should quickly pass into complete Nirvana in the realm without remainder, one who has the nature of thinking in this way. Who is the one who protects? It is the Arhat with dull faculties who, thinking that he must not fall away from the fruit he has obtained in this life, is one who diligently protects it. Who is the one who does not move from his abode? It is the Arhat with dull faculties who completely declines.

If there is no cause and condition for change, even if not guarded, it has the potential to change and will not decline; if there is no diligence, it will not increase. What is the potential for realization? It refers to the state of a dull-witted Arhat realizing without wavering. What is the nature of immovability? It refers to the state of an Arhat not completely declining. Those with the nature of complete decline are not necessarily going to decline; even those with the potential for realization are not necessarily going to realize, because there is such a possibility, so it is said. Thus, these four who abide in the fruit are called the fruits of the ascetic's path. The ascetic's path refers to the path without outflows. Because its fruit is these four, it is the fruit of the ascetic's path. These fruits are also conditioned and unconditioned. The path of liberation is conditioned, and separation is unconditioned. So, why are the fruits divided into four types? The Bhagavan established the stage of the path of abandonment, where there are five causes, as the fruit. What are the five? Not abandoning the five paths, obtaining other paths, collecting abandonment, obtaining eight wisdoms, and obtaining sixteen aspects. Among them, not abandoning the five paths refers to abandoning the four paths of entering the stream. Obtaining other paths refers to obtaining the path of abiding in the four fruits. Collecting abandonment refers to obtaining one attainment of all the abandonment of afflictions in the stage of the four fruits. Obtaining eight wisdoms refers to obtaining four Dharma wisdoms and four subsequent wisdoms in the stage of the four fruits. Obtaining sixteen aspects refers to obtaining sixteen aspects such as impermanence on the four truths in the stage of the four fruits. These five causes, each of the four fruits has five. Among them, as shown above, those who abide in the four fruits can be divided into six types from the perspective of lineage, that is, ordinary people belong to the lineage of dull-witted or sharp-witted, these two are the path of seeing.

For the fifteen moments of mind, following with faith, and following with Dharma, are divided into two. From the sixteenth moment of mind of those two paths of cultivation, up to the uninterrupted path between abandoning the ninth aspect of affliction at the peak of existence, it is divided into two: believing with faith and attaining through seeing. Those two, in the path of no more learning, from the knowledge of exhaustion until the last moment of mind, Nirvana, are divided into two: liberation in time and liberation not associated with time. These six manifestations of Arhats, the first five and the last one, are in that order. This is the establishment of the differentiation of attaining the fruit, and the establishment of the differentiation of the truths has been explained. Now, what is the establishment of the order of the truths? Because they are to be fully known, to be abandoned, to be realized, and to be cultivated, the order of the four truths is suffering, origin, cessation, and path, thus established. Among them, why should the truth of suffering be fully known? Because the truth of suffering is the place of the four inversions, namely permanence, pleasure, purity, and self. If one separately knows that the characteristics of the truth of suffering are impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness, one will abandon the four inversions, therefore it should be fully known first. When all four truths are to be fully known, why is it said that only the truth of suffering should be fully known? Because the truth of suffering is to be fully known by its own characteristics and general characteristics, while the other three truths are only their own characteristics. For the truth of origin, it is to be fully known by aspects such as cause, and that is also its own characteristic to be fully known. For the truth of cessation, it is to be fully known by aspects such as cessation, and that is also its own characteristic. The truth of the path
