And, the various distinctions of rebirth, the various distinctions of different places, the various distinctions of lineage, and the various distinctions of bodies in the world. Among these, regarding the various distinctions of realms (Sanskrit: dhātu), there are three types of rebirth in the three realms. Regarding the various distinctions of rebirth, there are five types of rebirth in the five destinies. Regarding the various distinctions of different places, in the desire realm there are thirty-six different places, in the form realm there are eighteen different places, and in the formless realm there are fifty-eight different places. Regarding the various distinctions of lineage, in the desire realm, there are three types of rebirth for humans: rebirth into a bad lineage, rebirth into a noble lineage, and rebirth into a lineage that is neither bad nor noble. There are also three types of rebirth for the gods who indulge in desire in the desire realm: rebirth as Asuras, rebirth in places that rely on the earth, and rebirth in places that rely on palaces in the sky. In the form realm, there are also three types of rebirth: rebirth for ordinary beings in places with perception, rebirth in places without perception, and rebirth for noble ones in the pure abodes. In the formless realm, there are also three types of rebirth: rebirth in the realm of vast consciousness, rebirth in the realm of limitless consciousness, and rebirth among the gods of neither perception nor non-perception. In total, there are twelve types of rebirth. Regarding the various distinctions of bodies in the world, it should be understood that the rebirths of those who dwell in the immeasurable world realms of the ten directions are immeasurable. Among these, regarding the various distinctions of suffering, from a long time ago, those beings who wander in samsara have experienced the destruction of limbs such as hands and feet countless times, with blood flowing incessantly. Moreover, they suffer for the sake of parents, siblings, and children, and their relatives, friends, wealth, and possessions are exhausted, causing tears to flow incessantly. The breast milk they have consumed is said to be more than the water of the four great oceans. Such things and the like should be understood as the various distinctions of the suffering of rebirth. Among these, regarding the various distinctions of uncertainty:

In those lives, the parents of samsara have no end; there is no one who has not been a parent, sibling, teacher, mentor, lama, or someone like a lama; if one were to collect the bones of a single person, even if collected, they would not decay, and if they truly did not decay, they would be as high as a mountainside, it is said. Such similarities should be understood as the uncertain distinctions of birth. The distinctions of entering into it should be understood as the nature of dependent arising, meaning, distinctions, order, collection, and the various establishments of the basis in those lives of wandering and samsara. What are the eight sufferings? The suffering of birth, the suffering of aging, the suffering of sickness, the suffering of death, the suffering of meeting with the unpleasant, the suffering of separation from the pleasant, the suffering of not obtaining what is desired, and in short, the five aggregates of grasping are all suffering. So, how is birth suffering? There are five aspects: because it is endowed with suffering, because it is endowed with bad states, because it is a place of suffering, because it is a place of afflictions, and because it is the nature of unwilling separation. Aging is also suffering in five ways: because the beautiful form completely deteriorates, because power and strength completely deteriorate, because the senses completely deteriorate, because the enjoyment of objects completely deteriorates, and because life completely deteriorates. Sickness is also suffering in five ways: because the nature of the body changes, because suffering and discomfort manifestly increase and mostly remain in that state, because one does not desire satisfying objects of enjoyment, because one has to unwillingly enjoy satisfying objects of enjoyment, and because one will be separated from the life force. Death is also suffering in five ways: because of separation from satisfying and complete enjoyment, because of separation from satisfying and complete foundations.
