It is so. Furthermore, from the place of the distinction of joy, since the eyes can see objects from afar and give rise to the distinction of joy, the eyes and objects are shown first. The rest are the same in order, so they are shown in order after that, which is the third cause. Furthermore, from completely grasping the distinction of beauty, for those who enjoy desires, making the eyes beautiful with eye medicine and so on is the eye, and making the ears beautiful with earrings and ornaments and so on is the ear. Others are not like that, so they are shown in order, which is the fourth cause. Furthermore, from the power of action, food, and sexual intercourse, sentient beings strive for everything with good and bad actions of body and speech. Because they strive completely, the eyes and objects, ears and sounds are shown. After that, because they eat food, the nose and smells, tongue and tastes are shown. After that, because they are satisfied and increase and engage in sexual intercourse, the body and tactile objects are shown, which is the fifth cause. Furthermore, from completely grasping the distinction of work and action, because the eyes see objects and then have difficulty in going and so on, the eyes and objects are shown first. The ears hear various sounds and so on, which is easier than the former, so the ears and sounds are shown after that. The nose smells various smells and so on, which is easier than the former, so the nose and smells are shown after that. The tongue tastes various tastes and so on, which is easier than the former, so the tongue and tastes are shown after that. The body touches various tactile objects and so on, which is easier than the former, so the body and tactile objects are shown after that, which is the sixth cause. Mind and Dharma are shown at the very end of everything because they encompass all categories and all aspects of the six, such as the eyes, and one should understand that this is the arrangement of the order of the sense bases. So, what is the arrangement of the collection of the sense bases? The five, such as the eyes, the five, such as objects, and the form that is not able to distinguish the aspects of the Dharma sense base, because it belongs to the form aggregate.

The aggregates, sense bases, elements, limbs of existence, what is and is not the case, and the faculties, combine the method of gathering them as previously shown. The mind base belongs to the aggregate of consciousness, therefore the aggregate of consciousness combines the method of gathering the aggregates, sense bases, elements, limbs of existence, what is and is not the case, and the faculties as previously shown. On the side of the dharma base, feeling, perception, and volition belong to the aggregates of feeling, perception, and volition, therefore the aggregates of feeling, perception, and volition combine the method of gathering the aggregates, sense bases, elements, limbs of existence, what is and is not the case, and the faculties as previously shown. On the side of the dharma base, the four unconditioned aspects are not included in the elements, so they are not gathered by any of the aggregates, etc. Furthermore, the Blessed One spoke in the sutras of the eight spheres of mastery, the ten spheres of totality, the four such as the sphere of infinite space, the sphere of no perception, the two spheres of neither perception nor non-perception, the sphere of contact, etc. Whatever dharmas are taught in the scriptures with the term "sphere," those should also be understood as being gathered appropriately into the definitions of the aforementioned twelve spheres. This is the establishment of the gathering of the spheres. What, then, is the establishment of the support of the spheres? The colored spheres belong to the aggregate of form, therefore the aggregate of form arises relying on the six bases, combine as previously shown. The non-colored spheres belong to the four aggregates included by name, therefore the four aggregates included by name arise relying on the seven bases, combine as previously shown. This is the establishment of the support of the spheres. The establishment of the twelve spheres as shown above is for the sake of beings experiencing inner and outer enjoyments through the objects that are imputed. Therefore, that is the object of its enjoyment.
