Completely cutting off, and completely cutting off the true meaning. Among them, completely cutting off the object refers to clinging to the characteristics and manifest signs of the object. Completely cutting off feeling refers to clinging to the inevitable feeling that arises from the object. Completely cutting off terminology refers to clinging to designations such as "the name is this," "the caste is this," "the family is this," for oneself or others. Erroneously completely cutting off refers to clinging to the object in a reversed manner. Completely cutting off the true meaning refers to clinging to the object as it is, without reversal. So, what are the classifications and establishments of the aggregate of formations? There are five types: object, state, all-afflictive, purified, and manifest formation. Among them, the classification of objects is to establish the collection of the six consciousnesses as formations. The classification of states is to establish the formations that are not associated with mind, such as birth and aging. The classification of all-afflictive is to establish the afflictions and near-afflictions that cause formations to be all-afflictive. The classification of purified is to establish the purified dharmas such as faith. The classification of manifest formation has five types: conforming to the object, encountering it, separating from it, all-afflictive, and diligently studying karma. In order to control the mind, one should observe the five types of manifest formation of the mind, as previously stated. So, what are the classifications and establishments of the aggregate of consciousness? There are five types: all-clinging, all-afflictive, place, dwelling, and various aspects. Among them, the classification of all-clinging is that in the desire realm, the consciousness of those with desires is manifestly clinging to external form, and is called solely clinging to form. In the form realm, the consciousness of the pure gods is manifestly clinging to internal name and form, and both of these are called all-clinging. In the formless realm

For sentient beings in the formless realm, their consciousness is the attachment to the inner name, which is called the universal attachment to name. Differentiating from the perspective of universal afflictions, the consciousness of children is afflicted through two gateways: in this life, through the gateway of fully enjoying objects, and in the next life, through the gateway of suffering such as birth and aging. Differentiating from the perspective of location, the location that consciousness follows is the co-emergent location, the five sense faculties, as well as the immediately preceding location, and the seed location, the Alaya consciousness. Differentiating from the perspective of abiding, the four abidings of consciousness are: the abiding of consciousness that is close to form, and the abiding of consciousness that is close to feeling, perception, and mental formations. These exist in the form realm, and also exist in the formless realm. The objects of the formless realm are feeling and so on. Differentiating from the perspective of various aspects, there are twenty aspects: the sutra says that the mind has desire and is without desire, has hatred and is without hatred, has delusion and is without delusion, is gathered and scattered, is dejected and focused, is agitated and non-agitated, is peaceful and non-peaceful, is in samadhi and not in samadhi, is well-cultivated and not well-cultivated, is completely liberated and not completely liberated. Furthermore, differentiating from the perspective of realms, beings in the desire realm have four types of mind: virtuous mind, non-virtuous mind, obscured but unspecified mind, and unobscured and unspecified mind. Beings in the form and formless realms each have three types of mind, excluding non-virtuous mind. The uncontaminated mind is the mind of learning and the mind of no more learning. Furthermore, differentiating from the perspective of abandonment, beings in the desire realm have four things to be abandoned by seeing the four truths, and five things to be abandoned by cultivation. Beings in the form and formless realms also each have five in the same way. These are the distinctions and establishments of the aggregates.
