From immeasurable time, the most completely cultivated means entering the pure superior intention ground, fully maturing, entering the middle stage, belonging to the second immeasurable kalpa. Possessing these virtuous dharmas means having generosity and other virtuous dharmas, being in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment, possessing cultivation and non-retrogression, but not possessing extreme purity. Regarding this, afflictions also arise, meaning that due to having a medium intention and a medium connection, afflictions that are not of the lower realms arise. Being able to overcome them and not being overcome by them means not falling into the lower realms due to these afflictions. For example, starting from the first ground, means from the first ground up to the seventh ground down. Also, from immeasurable time, completely cultivating the Dharma means abiding in the great stage of complete maturity in the ground of certainty and ultimate, belonging to the third immeasurable kalpa. Possessing these virtuous dharmas means having generosity and other virtuous dharmas, being in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment, possessing cultivation, non-retrogression, and extreme purity. Regarding this, the nature of the Dharma where afflictions do not arise in all circumstances means that due to having a great intention and a great connection, all afflictive entanglements do not arise, and one does not fall into the lower realms. For example, starting from the eighth ground, means from the eighth ground up to the tenth ground down. The meaning of the words and so on, being skilled in decrease and increase, has already been explained. After that, the meaning of the words and so on, being skilled in destroying the stream that pursues all afflictions, will be explained. Being skilled in destroying the stream that pursues all afflictions means that with the fully accomplished perfections of conduct, the fully accomplished ground of realization that is revealed, and the various distinctions as explained, whatever continuity of latent tendencies of all afflictions exists, one must be skilled in destroying them, and the meaning here lies in this.
