Thus, for the reason of existence, like asserting that sound is permanent, this is the characteristic of focusing on everything being the same. This is because it is a characteristic of impurity due to the discrepancy with the nature of the true meaning through the explanation of what is known by reason. After that, the fourth characteristic is because of the explanation of what is known by worldly fame and reason, and the discrepancy with the nature of the true meaning, in order to show that it is a characteristic of impurity, whatever discrepancy there is, that is, the discrepancy in characteristic, self-nature, function, dharma, cause, effect, and attribute, and the certainty that each other's characteristics are different, this is said to be the characteristic of "everything is different." Among them, the fourth characteristic is the characteristic of focusing on everything being different. How is it known that this is a characteristic of impurity due to the discrepancy with the nature of the true meaning through the explanation of what is known by worldly fame? In short, it should be known that there are five ways to distinguish dharmas: characteristic, self-nature, function, dharma, cause and effect. Among them, characteristic is known from body, movement, and state; self-nature is known from the characteristic of its own kind and the characteristic of difference; function is known from doing one's own actions, and realizing correctly and incorrectly; dharma is known from affliction, purification, conventional and ultimate truth; cause and effect are known from near and far, and wanting and not wanting. Thus, from the various differences in the ways of distinguishing dharmas, some aspects are inconsistent, and some aspects are consistent, but as long as it is due to any inconsistency, and it is certain that all each other's characteristics are different, this is the characteristic of focusing on everything being different. This is because it is a characteristic of impurity due to the discrepancy with the nature of the true meaning through the explanation of what is known by worldly fame. Then, how is it due to the explanation of what is known by reason, and the nature of the true meaning?

It should be understood that the characteristic of being not completely pure is due to non-conformity. By the non-conformity of any of the non-conforming characteristics, by focusing on the non-conformity of a few, by focusing on the certainty of mutual non-conformity in all of everything, it is inferred like the previously shown fault of uncommon certainty. The nature of things, except for sound, the similar side such as a vase, and the dissimilar side such as the sky, all that is to be proven, the impermanence of the object to be proven, the dharma that establishes it, by the reason of "being knowable", like proving that sound is impermanent, such a reason is called the characteristic of focusing on all non-conformity. That is because it does not conform to the way of the true meaning through the gate of what is said by reason, it should be understood as the characteristic of being not completely pure. Now, in this context of explaining the characteristics of being not completely pure, the first two characteristics, the third and fourth characteristics, and the characteristics of closely associating examples of other kinds, by combining the characteristics through what is said by reason, it is shown that it is the characteristic of being not completely pure because it does not conform to the way of the true meaning. Among them, the first characteristic is that due to the fault of the uncertain reason, it becomes a seeming reason, and the characteristic of closely associating examples of other kinds, due to the fault of the example, it becomes a seeming example, that is what is established. The unestablishedness of the inference that is completely uncertain is called the characteristic of being not completely pure, as it is shown. Among them, there are two kinds of combination of those characteristics: the uncertainty that exists on one side of the dissimilar side, and the uncertainty that exists on one side of the similar side, combined with the characteristic of closely associating examples of other kinds, having the uncommon uncertainty, is not completely pure. And the uncertainty that exists on one dharma of the similar side, and the uncertainty that exists on one side of the dissimilar side, combined with the characteristic of closely associating examples of other kinds, having the common uncertainty, is not completely pure. Among them, first, the uncertainty that exists on one side of the dissimilar side.
