It is said that for all things, closely combining the characteristics of prominence and decline, whatever is similar to this should be understood as an example of one's own category, that is, the characteristic of close combination. Regarding the statement "an example of one's own category, the characteristic of close combination," "one's own" refers to, through the way that inferable things possess, indicating that on the inferable dharma, there exists a similar dharma that can establish the inferable dharma. The so-called "example of category" refers to, indicating the way that inferable things possess, an example that corresponds to this dharma, that is, through the way of existing in the similar side, indicating the accompanying establishment. The so-called "close combination" refers to, closely combining the way of indicating that inferable things possess, with an example that corresponds to this dharma. The so-called "characteristic" refers to the characteristic of inferential valid cognition. Thus, if indicating the way that inferable things possess, through the example existing in the similar side, the accompanying establishment is established, then naturally the return from the dissimilar side can also be established, which is the characteristic of inferential valid cognition. In this way, inferential valid cognition is completely purified through the example of its own category, the characteristic of close combination, and can become valid cognition, and the example of its own category of inferential valid cognition, the characteristic of close combination, should also be understood as being of the same essence in the manner of entity and characteristic. Here, regarding the four words of the example of one's own category, close combination, since the characteristic of the example and the characteristic of the sign are considered to be the meaning of direct perception in all cases, these four words of the example are the essence of the three words previously mentioned when manifesting the characteristic of direct perception, "all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, all dharmas are selfless, direct perception manifests in the world," just like the order of combining the last two words of the example into one. Moreover, these words of the example are not for establishing these three words of the characteristic of manifesting direct perception, but are explained when manifesting the characteristic of direct perception.

With the three examples of the nature of impermanence, suffering, and selflessness, when showing the characteristics of manifestly focusing on where they reside, it should be understood that the three dharmas to be established are established by the three dharmas of the establishing side, and the corresponding examples of similar dharmas are shown in order. Among them, for internal and external formations, taking the death, transference, and birth known to all the world as objects of focus and closely associating them, this is the nature of what was previously said, "All formations are impermanent, manifestly focused on in the world," when showing the characteristics of manifestly focusing on them. Thus, with this example of the nature of impermanence, for the dharma to be inferred, that is, the object of the dharma of formations, from the dharma of the establishing side, that is, the sign of nature, the coarse impermanence resides, manifestly focused on, from those dharmas to be established, the momentariness not manifestly focused on, that momentariness is inferred, as it is said, the corresponding example of that dharma is shown. And how is it to be applied? Whatever has coarse impermanence manifestly focused on is momentariness, for example, for internal and external formations, taking the death, transference, and birth known to all the world as objects of focus and closely associating them, thus it is applied. The so-called death, transference, and birth taken as objects of focus and closely associated establish the example of the final distinction from the former and destruction, whatever has destruction is impermanent, whatever has coarse impermanence manifestly focused on is momentariness, therefore, for the dharma to be inferred, that is, the object of the dharma of formations, from the dharma of the establishing side, that is, the sign of nature, the coarse impermanence is manifestly focused on, from that dharma to be established, the momentariness not manifestly focused on, the corresponding example of that momentariness being inferred is established. Diseases and external formations, etc., taking the suffering of birth, etc., known to all the world as objects of focus and closely associating them, this is previously

When demonstrating the characteristics of manifest realization, it is the very nature of what is said, "All conditioned phenomena are suffering, which is manifestly realized in the world." Thus, with this example of the nature of suffering, in the context of demonstrating the characteristics of manifest realization where it previously resided, for the dharma to be inferred, namely various sentient beings, from which the dharma of the aspect to be established, namely from the sign of the fruit, various abidings, manifest realization, from which the dharma to be established, namely the other world, the previous life exists, not manifestly realized, inferring its existence, shows a concordant example. How is it to be applied? For whatever, the various abidings of karma are manifestly realized, then the other world exists, for example, for diseases and external conditioned phenomena, combining the realization of suffering such as birth, which is known in all the world, thus combining. By the saying of combining the realization of suffering such as birth, even in the case of ordinary abiding, it is established as suffering. For whoever has suffering, then there is the nature of karma. For whoever, the various abidings of karma are manifestly realized, then the other world exists, therefore, for the dharma to be inferred, namely various sentient beings, from which the dharma of the aspect to be established, namely from the sign of the fruit, various abidings, manifest realization, from which the dharma to be established, namely the other world, the previous life exists, not manifestly realized, a concordant example is established. For internal and external conditioned phenomena, combining the realization of the absence of inherent nature, which is known in all the world, and for external objects, also combining the realization of prosperity and decline, which is known in all the world, this is the very nature of what was said in the context of demonstrating the characteristics of manifest realization, "All dharmas are selfless, which is manifestly realized in the world." Thus, with this example of the nature of selflessness, in the context of demonstrating the characteristics of manifest realization where it previously resided,
