To reiterate, this eliminates the uncertainty of having one aspect in the dissimilar side. The term "certain" is used because it is mentioned at the end, so it should be understood that all three aspects must be certain. These three aspects should be understood as being determined by their respective valid cognitions. Otherwise, it would not be possible to have confidence in what is to be inferred. What are the characteristics of the three signs? They are the invisible, the nature, and the result. Because what is to be inferred is of two types, non-existent things and existent things, therefore the signs that establish non-existence and establish existence are also of two types. Among these, the invisible is the sign that establishes non-existence; it is the reason of negation. It is also the relationship of the nature of non-arising if absent. By the sign of the invisible object, which has become an object of perception on the subject to be inferred, the non-existence of the object is to be established. Nature and result are the signs that establish existence; they are the reasons of existence. These two are of two types, distinguished by whether they are different from or not different from the object to be established. Non-difference is the relationship of the nature of the self-nature of the object to be established and the establisher; it is the sign of nature. Difference is the relationship of the nature of arising from the object to be established and the establisher; it is the sign of result. These, each having all three aspects like having all three aspects, are not like having each aspect or two aspects. Thus, these signs that possess the three aspects also eliminate the three faults of reasoning: unestablished, contradictory, and uncertain. In this way, by the mode of existing in what is to be inferred, on the subject to be inferred, the property to be established, that is, the non-existence or impermanence, momentariness, etc., or the property of the establishing side as the cause, the existence of the invisible or nature or result sign, showing the relationship of the nature of non-arising if absent, or by the relationship of the nature of its self-nature, by the mode of existing in the similar side,

That which possesses the opposite by way of ascertaining the absence of disagreement with beings is the unestablished, and since there is no self-unestablished, other-unestablished, etc., the fault of unestablished is eliminated. The fault of contradiction in establishing the opposite of what is to be established is also eliminated. Since there is no common uncertain, uncommon uncertain, uncertain that exists in one part of the dissimilar side, and uncertain that exists in one part of the similar side, etc., the fault of uncertain is eliminated. Thus, the sign that possesses the three aspects, the fault of the reason, the unestablished, contradictory, and uncertain, is eliminated, then the inference, whatever dharma is to be established, will be established, and that itself is the result of the valid cognition of inference. Thus, for what is to be inferred, from the sign of the three aspects, for oneself to realize and for others to understand, here, the aspect of existence in what is to be inferred, its characteristic is shown as abiding in that, being the object of direct perception. The aspect of existence in the similar side, its characteristic is shown as being closely connected to the example of its own kind. The aspect of absence in the dissimilar side is actually shown from scripture and other valid cognitions. Here, since the example of similar dharma is shown to follow, the opposite of the example of dissimilar dharma is naturally established, so the Bhagavan did not show it explicitly, but if one wants to know, how should it be combined, it will be shown below. Among these, first, in order to show that the valid cognition of inference is completely pure with the characteristic of abiding in that, being the object of direct perception, all compounded things are momentary, and there is another world, and good and bad actions are not wasted, the gross impermanence that abides in that is what is directly perceived, and sentient beings abide in various actions, that is what is directly perceived, and sentient beings abide in happiness and suffering from good and bad actions, that is what is directly perceived, and whatever is to be inferred from what has not become directly perceived, and whatever is similar to that
