Just as duality is not established, likewise, the direct realization of the self-cognizant aspect of Suchness is said to possess the characteristic of being of one taste in all ultimate truths. 'Definite apprehension' and 'direct realization' are synonyms. That is, when the Suchness of one object is directly realized by correct knowledge, the Suchness of all other objects is also directly realized. Therefore, there is no need to seek individual direct realizations for each object. This is an explanation of the meaning of the words that the characteristic of all ultimate truths being of one taste is the antidote to the pride of direct realization based on grasping. Among these, the pride of direct realization through distinguishing characteristics refers to thinking that just as the aggregates and other dharmas have different characteristics from each other, so too does the Suchness of those dharmas, the ultimate truth of the absence of self of phenomena, also have different characteristics. As an antidote to this, Subhuti was told, "Furthermore, how are the aggregates?" and so forth. Just as these objects of other-powered nature, such as the aggregates, have their own distinct characteristics from the perspective of establishing conventional truth, so too does their perfectly established Suchness, the ultimate truth of the absence of self of phenomena, show a common, undifferentiated characteristic from the perspective of not establishing ultimate truth. Moreover, if one instance of becoming a fault of difference and one instance of removing the fault show non-difference, then apply it to that meaning as it arises. Therefore, does that Suchness, the ultimate truth of the absence of self of phenomena, also become something that has a cause and arises from a cause? Because objects with different characteristics are accomplished after causes and conditions, they appear to have different characteristics. Therefore, if this has different characteristics, it will inevitably become the concluding statement that it is a fault of having a cause. If it arises from a cause, then it will become conditioned? Because conditioned things abide in the nature of the cause and the nature of the result. If it is conditioned, then it will not become the ultimate truth? Because as much as it is false, as much as it is unconditioned.
