Here, in order to initiate a discussion on the nature of non-duality, the noble one, through proper attention, integrates everything into his own mind, thereby opening the discussion on the nature of non-duality, (asking) "Are all dharmas non-dual, are all dharmas non-dual?" Like this, he repeated the question twice. To this, the Tathagata, in these sutras, demonstrated the accomplishment of all dharmas being non-dual, so by what reasoning is this accomplished? Therefore (it says): "Because of no wisdom before name, because of multiplicity and non-determination, Whatever is said of the nature of dharmas, that is established as non-dual." This is to explain: The nature of dharmas spoken of by the childish, because there is no wisdom before the name, because the names are many, because the names are uncertain, because the name cannot touch the self-nature of things, like conditioned and unconditioned, etc., the non-duality is accomplished. Therefore, because non-duality is accomplished, it is unspeakable. This should be understood in this way. Then, how is non-duality accomplished because there is no wisdom before the name? Before attaching names such as "conditioned" or "unconditioned" to dharmas, at the time of attaching the name, thoughts such as "this is conditioned, this is unconditioned" do not arise. In this case, the nature of dharmas is not any nature such as conditioned or unconditioned, therefore non-duality is accomplished. Therefore, because it is non-dual, things like conditioned and unconditioned are unspeakable. Then, how is non-duality accomplished because there are many names? For the same nature of dharmas, many names are given through different words. For example, for the same nature of a king, he can be called king, landowner, lord of the people, protector of the land, lord of the supreme sovereign, etc., giving many names. If the nature of the king is the same as the nature of the name, then the name should have many different forms like this.

Therefore, if the very nature of that king's possessions were to become multiple, it would not be so. All dharmas are the same as this, therefore names are many, but the very nature of things is exhausted in one. The very nature of things is not the kind of nature that is spoken of by names, therefore it is established as non-dual. Because it is thus non-dual, it is inexpressible. If you ask, how is it established as non-dual because names are uncertain? The names of things are uncertain. For example, for one person, the name Lhajyin was given first, in between the name Mejyin was changed, that same person at another time the name Sangyejyin was changed, then at another time the name Yonten Shenyen was changed. If the very nature of that person's possessions were the nature of the name, then the name would be uncertain, like other changes. If the very nature of that person's possessions were also like other changes, it would not be so, all dharmas are the same as this, therefore names are uncertain, but the very nature of things is not uncertain like names, therefore the very nature of things is not the kind of nature that is spoken of by names, therefore it is established as non-dual. Because it is thus non-dual, it is inexpressible, and this is also combined as before. If you ask, how are all dharmas non-dual? This is asking two questions: how much exists and how does it exist? Two answers will appear below, showing them in order. Son of lineage, all dharmas, all dharmas, how much is two? Conditioned and unconditioned. This is answering the question that was asked before, what are all dharmas? Among them, how much is two? This shows that everything is included in two. What is that? Conditioned and unconditioned, this shows how much exists.

It is said that this is the answer to the previous question of "how is it non-dual?" The so-called "all dharmas" refers to the category of both conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. These two are temporarily established names with added words, because they are not the nature of things. Therefore, the entities of all dharmas spoken by those with childish minds, before the name, are because of the lack of wisdom, because they are not names, and because the names are uncertain, the names cannot touch the nature of things, so like conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, etc., they are considered to be established as non-dual, as previously shown. This shows the state of existence of things as they are. In this way, by showing the establishment of non-duality, it also incidentally shows the unspeakable, therefore, this shows the establishment of the body with two characteristics. After that, we will rely on it to explain the meaning of the words of establishing the three natures, etc. The so-called "relying on it to explain the three natures" refers to relying on the two characteristics of establishing the body—that is, showing the establishment of the characteristic of non-duality, and also incidentally showing the characteristic of unspeakable—here, in the way of the three natures of parikalpita, paratantra, and parinispanna, to show that all dharmas are unspeakable because of non-duality. Therefore, in order to show this, relying on the arising of the discourse, here, the noble one asks properly, the noble one asks the profound meaning of the intention of liberation: "Wonderful! Son of the Buddha, how is it that conditioned dharmas are not conditioned dharmas, nor unconditioned dharmas? Unconditioned dharmas are not unconditioned dharmas, nor conditioned dharmas?" Previously, it was said that all dharmas belong to the category of conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, and these two are temporarily established names with added words, because they are not the nature of things. Therefore, the entities of all dharmas spoken by those with childish minds, before the name, are because of the lack of wisdom, because of the abundance of wisdom, and because the wisdom is uncertain, the reality of the name
