Being skilled in the excellent distinction of the divisions of determination is, World Honored One, what is the Hearer Vehicle and what is the Great Vehicle that you spoke of, is that one Vehicle? What is your intention in that? Etc. Among them, first, the meaning of the words of being skilled in the method of completely maturing oneself and sentient beings, etc., should be explained. Being skilled in the method of completely maturing oneself and sentient beings is, the six Paramitas are the method of completely maturing oneself and sentient beings, and the meaning of being skilled in it is shown here. Therefore, with the authority of showing it, it was asked, World Honored One, how many foundations of learning do Bodhisattvas have? The foundation of learning is, for the Bodhisattva, the foundation to be learned as a method of completely maturing oneself and sentient beings, namely the six Paramitas. Six, that is, each of the six Paramitas should be known to have nine aspects. The nine aspects of giving are the nature of giving, all giving, difficult giving, giving from all doors, giving of a great person, giving of all kinds, giving to the poor and desiring, giving that becomes happy in this and other places, and completely pure giving. Among them, what is the nature of giving? Giving that possesses five characteristics, namely nature, door, object, intention, and the characteristic of the recipient. It is the action of body and speech of giving. The object is to give all faultless things that should be given. The intention is to abide in vows, see the future, and look at the result. Giving is to give that thing separately to whoever wants it. What is all giving? There are two types: giving internal and external things. There are also three types: things, causes, and distinctions. What is difficult giving? There are three types: possessing few things to give, harming oneself, enduring suffering and giving to others; for lovely things that are naturally loving, or familiar for a long time, or mostly beneficial, or the best and most excellent things to give, cutting off attachment and giving to others; and giving great things to be given, such as land preparation, to others. What is giving in all ways? There are four types: giving things that one owns, begging from others and giving, giving recipients such as one's own gardener, and giving to other beggars. What is the giving of a great person? There are five types: giving with faith, giving with respect, giving from one's own hand, and giving without harming others. What is giving in all ways? There are six qualities and seven ways, totaling thirteen. Among them, the six qualities are giving without dependence, not being stingy, giving joyfully, giving continuously, giving to vessels, and giving to non-vessels. The seven ways are giving all, giving to all, giving at all times, giving faultlessly, giving sentient beings' things, giving local things, and giving wealth and grain things. What is giving to the poor and needy? There are eight types: giving food and drink to those who lack food and drink and are in need.

并且,对于缺乏乘坐工具且需要的人,布施乘坐工具;对于缺乏衣服且需要的人,布施衣服;对于缺乏装饰品且需要的人,布施装饰品;对于缺乏器皿且需要的人,布施器皿;对于缺乏香、花鬘和涂香且需要的人,布施香、花鬘和涂香;对于缺乏住所且需要的人,布施住所;对于缺乏光明且需要的人,布施光明。那么,什么是能使今生来世获得安乐的布施呢?有九种:以财物布施消除吝啬和积蓄的污垢,布施美好、清净和适宜之物三种;布施无畏,救护畜生等、人和非为有情所行之处三种;以正法布施,如实宣说正法,以理宣说,使人如实受持学处之根本三种。那么,什么是完全清净的布施呢?有十种:无碍的布施,不执著的布施,不积聚的布施,不傲慢的布施,不依赖的布施,不怯懦的布施,非恶劣的布施,不背弃的布施,不图回报的布施,不期待异熟果报的布施。戒律也有九种,如前所述。那么,什么是戒律的自性呢?从他人处善妙正确地受持四种功德,心意极其清净,如果破戒则恢复,为了不破戒而生起恭敬,具有忆念近住的律仪。那么,一切戒律是什么呢?有两种:属于在家方面的,属于出家方面的。这又根据情况有三种:律仪戒,摄善法戒,饶益有情戒。那么,什么是摄善法戒呢?有三种:菩萨具有广大的受用,能自在地运用财富,从欲望中舍弃这些,守持戒
