The retinue of the Great King, as many lotuses as appeared, that many Bodhisattvas surrounded him, appearing to be seated on those lotuses. They gazed at that Bodhisattva, and each of them entered into ten thousand samadhis. If what sign appears, then empowerment? It is the appearance of light. That light also possesses three functions: the function of benefiting, the function of inviting, and the function of attracting. Among these, the function of benefiting is said to be that as soon as that Bodhisattva sits on the lotus seat of the Great Jewel King, from each and every limb of his body, countless hundreds of thousands of rays of light emanate, and from the supreme limb above, the head, countless hundreds of thousands of rays of light, equal to the number of dust particles in a three-thousand world system, emanate. Illuminating all the mandalas of the three lower realms of the ten directions, humans, gods, asuras, shravakas, pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, demons, and the retinue of the Tathagatas, pacifying suffering, opening the door of the light of the Dharma, the manner of the door of samadhi, the manner of wisdom and skillful means, closely practicing, making offerings, and serving. The light called "light extremely pure" thoroughly illuminates, causing all world realms to completely shake, all lower realms to be cut off, all Dharma realms to be filled with light, all world realms to be completely purified, the sound of the Buddha to be heard in all fields, Bodhisattvas of harmonious conduct to gather, the music of gods and humans, the sound of songs and musical instruments, and the sound of cymbals to arise in all world realms, all sentient beings to generate happiness, and to make offerings and service to all perfectly complete Buddhas, inconceivable merit will arise. In a certain vast world, a bodhisattva endowed with such conduct will realize that the time has come for them to receive empowerment. From the place called "The Summoner," countless bodhisattvas up to those abiding on the ninth bodhisattva ground will come from the ten directions and surround that bodhisattva. They will make great offerings, gaze upon that bodhisattva, and enter into ten times ten thousand samadhis. From the auspicious emblems, vajras, and auspicious signs of other bodhisattvas who have attained the ground of empowerment, a great light called "Complete Victory over the Enemy of Mara" will arise, accompanied by countless hundreds of thousands of tens of rays of light. This light will illuminate the ten directions and truly manifest limitless miracles. It will dissolve into the auspicious emblems, vajras, and auspicious signs of that bodhisattva. Immediately upon dissolving, that bodhisattva's strength and power will increase a hundred thousandfold and appear to grow even more significantly. Who performs the empowerment? It is the rays of light of the Tathagatas, and the wisdom of that bodhisattva and other bodhisattvas, who perfectly grasp equality. Then, from the urna hairs of those Tathagatas, countless hundreds of thousands of tens of rays of light called "Endowed with the Manifest Knowledge of Omniscience" will arise. These rays of light will illuminate all the realms of all the worlds in the ten directions without exception, and circle the world ten times, manifesting the great transformations of the Tathagatas. They will inspire billions of hundreds of thousands of bodhisattvas, cause all the vast Buddhafields to shake in six ways, completely pacify the death, transference, rebirth, and birth of all the lower realms, darken all the abodes of Mara, universally display the Buddha seats where all the Tathagatas manifest complete enlightenment and perfect Buddhahood, and greatly display the power of the mandala arrangement of the retinues of all the Buddhas. They illuminate all the worlds pervaded by the dharmadhatu and everything that reaches the limits of space.

我之间返回后，绕所有菩萨眷属的坛城，示现大庄严，那菩萨融入其肢体的圣处，其眷属的光芒融入如是聚集的菩萨们的头顶，那些光芒一触及，那些菩萨们便获得先前未得的十万三摩地，那些光芒同时落到那些菩萨的肢体圣处，那菩萨在圆满正等觉佛的刹土中被明显灌顶，十力圆满后也获得被算作圆满正等觉佛，如是灌顶。如何灌顶呢？比如转轮王的嫡子，比如，转轮王的嫡子，从端庄的妃子所生，具有国王的名称，那转轮王将他放在天宝象上，放在金色的好宝座上，上面悬挂锦缎，做伞、胜幢、幡和乐器的广大陈设，从四大海中取水，用金瓶盛满，用那水从那少年的头顶灌顶，他一被灌顶，国王王族便进入从头顶灌顶的行列，圆满十善业道后便获得名为转轮王，同样，那菩萨也被诸佛薄伽梵灌顶后，以智慧的灌顶而称为灌顶，十力圆满后便进入圆满正等觉佛的行列，如是灌顶，那是获得灌顶。所谓究竟舍弃殊胜性有五种：以智慧的殊胜性，以解脱的殊胜性，以三摩地的殊胜性，以陀罗尼的殊胜性，以神通的殊胜性。其中，所谓以智慧的殊胜性，就是智慧

After returning between us, circumambulating all the mandalas of the Bodhisattva's retinue, showing great splendor, that Bodhisattva merges into the sacred place of his limbs, and the rays of light from his retinue merge into the heads of the Bodhisattvas thus assembled. As soon as those rays touch them, those Bodhisattvas attain ten thousand samadhis that they had not previously attained. Those rays simultaneously descend upon the sacred place of the limbs of those Bodhisattvas, and that Bodhisattva is manifestly empowered in the realm of the perfectly complete Buddha. Having perfected the ten powers, he also attains being counted as a perfectly complete Buddha. Such is the empowerment. How is the empowerment done? Like the eldest son of a Chakravartin king. For example, the eldest son of a Chakravartin king, born from a virtuous queen, possessing the name of a king, that Chakravartin king places him on a precious celestial elephant, on a fine golden throne. Above, a canopy is hung, and a vast arrangement of umbrellas, banners, streamers, and musical instruments is made. Water is taken from the four great oceans, filled into golden vases, and with that water, the youth is empowered from the crown of his head. As soon as he is empowered, the king and the royal family enter the ranks of those empowered from the crown of the head. Having perfected the path of the ten virtuous actions, he obtains the name Chakravartin. Similarly, as soon as that Bodhisattva is empowered by those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, he is called empowered by the empowerment of wisdom. Having perfected the ten powers, he enters the ranks of the perfectly complete Buddha. Thus is the empowerment done, and that is called obtaining empowerment. The so-called ultimate abandonment of greatness is of five kinds: greatness by wisdom, greatness by liberation, greatness by samadhi, greatness by dharani, and greatness by clairvoyance. Among these, the so-called greatness by wisdom is wisdom.
