The ground, for example, is like a person dreaming while asleep, dreaming that he is being carried away by a great river, striving to escape and struggling with great effort, and as soon as he wakes up, all effort and struggle disappear. Similarly, the bodhisattva knows that the multitude of beings are being carried away by the four great rivers, and thus initiates effort and struggle, and as soon as he attains the immovable ground of a bodhisattva, all effort disappears. Subtle thoughts arise universally, and are abandoned. This is like one who is born in the Brahma world and abides there, for whom the afflictions of the desire realm do not arise universally. Similarly, for the bodhisattva of this ground (immovable ground), the universal arising of the thoughts and consciousness of the lower grounds does not arise universally. Turning back from the edge of quiescence has three aspects: being urged by the Tathagata, being made to correctly uphold, and showing the door of realization. Among these, being urged by the Tathagata means urging with consideration for being able to obtain the complete Dharma of the Buddha that has not yet been obtained, urging with consideration for the great significance of benefiting sentient beings, urging with consideration for the aspiration and the complete maturation of sentient beings, and the accumulation of wisdom becoming fruitless, urging with consideration for the fatigue brought about by uncommon meanings becoming fruitless. Being made to correctly uphold means making one correctly uphold the power of the complete Dharma of the Buddha, making one correctly uphold the distinction of the blissful abiding of the Tathagatas, and making one correctly uphold how enlightenment is shown by truly seeing the realms, sentient beings, and dharmas of the world. Showing the door of realization means, for the immeasurable doors of realizing wisdom, and through these doors, the bodhisattva realizes the activities of immeasurable kinds of wisdom, engaging in close practice. The activities of wisdom and supernormal knowledge are immeasurable and boundless, and engaging in close practice has two aspects: the distinction of the cause of completely upholding qualities and the cause of the rapid arising of supernormal knowledge.

The difference of. From that, the difference called the cause of completely grasping the merits is to bring sentient beings to complete maturity, and to approach the immeasurable activities of wisdom by means of gatherings and so on, and the purification of obscurations. The difference called the cause of quick clairvoyance is like a large boat going to the great ocean, which must be deliberately rowed until it reaches the great ocean. As soon as it approaches the great ocean, the wind will slowly push it, and it will go without having to deliberately row. Therefore, the distance that can be reached by the great ocean in one day is the infinite distance that cannot be reached even after a hundred years by deliberately rowing forward. Similarly, after the Bodhisattva reaches the ocean of the eighth bhumi's conduct, the omniscient wisdom that is naturally accomplished in an instant is the infinite distance that cannot be reached even after hundreds of thousands of kalpas by the previous deliberate actions. In this way, approaching the immeasurable activities of clairvoyance. The purification of the Buddha field is also of three types: the means of being in control of the vessel world, the means of being in control of the sentient being world, and the means of being in control of the manifestation of perfect enlightenment. Among them, the so-called being in control of the vessel world is of five types: manifesting or disappearing at will, manifesting any form at will, manifesting for any period of time at will, contracting or expanding at will, and manifesting any number at will. The so-called being in control of the sentient being world is the means of being in control of manifesting one's own emanated body within them, that is, manifesting the body and mind that are in accordance with the body and mind of the beings to be tamed. The means of being in control of the manifestation of perfect enlightenment is of two types: ultimate wisdom and conventional wisdom. Among them, the means of being in control of the manifestation of perfect enlightenment of ultimate wisdom is to completely not
