All the dharmas of the limbs of enlightenment that ripen will be completely perfected in an instant. The so-called "establishing the differences between the previous and later grounds" means that this seventh ground is superior to the lower grounds and inferior to the higher grounds. Among them, the so-called "superior to the lower grounds" means that the seventh ground can completely perfect the practice with skillful means, thus suppressing the practice of wisdom and supernormal powers. The so-called "inferior to the higher grounds" means that in order to directly realize wisdom, it is necessary to diligently perfect the practice of the limbs of skillful means. The so-called "establishing its fruit" means that there are four kinds of fruits of the union path: purification of karma, obtaining the excellence of samadhi, far surpassing the ground, and obtaining the excellence of abiding. Among them, there are also four kinds of purification of karma: the excellence of pure morality, the excellence of pure worldly wisdom, the excellence of obtaining an unequaled body through intentional effort, and the excellence of obtaining power through the excellence of directly realizing samadhi and so on. The so-called "obtaining the excellence of samadhi" means that the bodhisattva's samadhi is distinguished very clearly through differentiation, such as "distinguishing very clearly," etc., which can enable the samadhi of the gate of wisdom and great supernormal powers to be completely practiced, and can enter into hundreds of thousands of kotis of samadhi. The so-called "far surpassing the ground" means that after obtaining the samadhi that is completely practiced with skillful means and wisdom, with the power of loving-kindness and compassion, it far surpasses the karma of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and the eighth ground that is observed with wisdom and prajna is also about to be realized. The so-called "obtaining the excellence of abiding" means abiding on the edge of reality, not directly realizing cessation, and not abandoning existence, thus obtaining the excellence of abiding. The excellence of the good fruit is the same as before. Because of obtaining abiding and these excellences, it is said that it is perfected by these limbs, because it has truly transcended the arising of subtle appearances. What are the contradictory qualities that the eighth ground abandons? It is perfected by these limbs.

Indeed, it is indicated by statements such as "exerting extra effort to maintain equanimity towards that aspect without characteristics, and being unable to gain mastery over characteristics," that the opposing aspect of the eighth ground is the manifestation of being without characteristics. That is to say, abiding in the superior wisdom of the seventh ground, based on the previous three freedoms, one manifestly engages in practice, and through effort, continuously and without interruption, cultivates the wisdom of non-discrimination towards suchness in all phenomena. Even having settled into this state, one should combine it with one's own nature and essence, continuously and without interruption, and it is indeed impossible to abide in a state possessing the path. What, then, is the antidote to cultivate? It is indicated by statements such as "striving to fully perfect it with that limb," that in the stage of ascending from the seventh to the eighth ground, through statements such as "the ground that has been completely purified and gathered," one obtains the merits of gathering the seven grounds in general and individually, thereby obtaining the merit called "pure forbearance," which is to obtain the object of forbearance towards the unborn dharma, thus striving to ascend from the seventh ground and suppress the eighth ground. Among these, "the ground that has been completely purified and gathered" refers to the bodhisattva's complete purification of the seven grounds of the bodhisattva, and when entering the eighth ground of the bodhisattva, entering the ground of conduct with application. The seven grounds that have been completely purified, through complete purification, obtain all the merits of the grounds of the seven grounds. Among these, in "obtaining the merits of gathering the seven grounds in general and individually," "obtaining the merits of gathering the seven grounds in general" refers to thoroughly realizing the two kinds of selflessness from higher to higher, and completely purifying the non-abiding path through the wisdom gathered by skillful means, and obtaining the merit of perfecting the accumulation gathered by application. "Obtaining the merits of gathering the seven grounds individually" refers to making extraordinary aspirations on the first ground, etc., and on the second ground, therefore, one should completely purify all aspects of the similarity of my direct realization, and should diligently engage in direct realization itself, etc., and on the third ground, in order to obtain samadhi that does not degenerate from detachment from desire, etc., one's own virtue.
