These three grounds are encompassed by the purity of higher mind. Samadhi and meditative absorption, including both preparatory and actual stages, are the very nature of the bodhisattva's training in higher mind, which is distinguished by the attainment of samadhi. There are nine aspects: the nature of samadhi, the nature of the actual stage, the nature of samadhi, difficult samadhi, samadhi through all doors, samadhi of noble beings, samadhi of all aspects, samadhi on poverty and desire, samadhi that brings happiness in this and other lives, and pure samadhi. These immeasurable samadhis of the bodhisattvas are the cause of the great fruit of enlightenment. Relying on them, the bodhisattvas, having perfected the perfection of meditation, manifestly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Therefore, it is taught in the context of skill in fruition. From the fourth ground onwards, up to the ground of Buddhahood, it should be understood that it is encompassed by the purity of higher wisdom, which is increasingly excellent and even more excellent. That is to say, the fourth ground abides in higher wisdom that possesses the aspects of enlightenment. The fifth ground abides in higher wisdom that possesses truth. The sixth ground abides in higher wisdom that possesses dependent origination. The seventh ground, based on the previous three abodes, abides in signlessness, with manifest effort and exertion, and that is also distinguished by higher wisdom. The eighth ground, having mostly cultivated the previous abode in signlessness, abides in signlessness, without manifest effort and spontaneously accomplished, and that is also distinguished by higher wisdom. The samadhi of the ninth ground, which possesses wisdom, is extremely pure and unwavering, and relying on it, one abides in individual correct knowledge, and that is also distinguished by higher wisdom. The tenth ground is the supreme abode because it has obtained the great empowerment of the Dharma for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.

Furthermore, it is distinguished by higher wisdom. The Buddha is the state of fruition, because he possesses abandonment and perfect wisdom, so he is also distinguished by higher wisdom, and the complete purity of higher wisdom is the wisdom that realizes the knowable as it is, and the nature of the wisdom that realizes the knowable as it is, therefore the fourth ground and above are encompassed by pure wisdom. The nature of wisdom and wisdom is also the cause of learning and non-learning, possessing the ability to accurately distinguish between ultimate truth and conventional truth. There are nine types, namely: the nature of wisdom, all wisdom, wisdom through all doors, the wisdom of the noble, the wisdom of all aspects, wisdom in the desire for deprivation, wisdom that leads to happiness in this and other lives, and completely pure wisdom. The wisdom of the Bodhisattvas is extremely excellent and immeasurable, and this will become the fruit of great Bodhi. Relying on it, the Bodhisattvas perfect the Prajnaparamita, thereby manifesting the unexcelled perfect enlightenment, so it is explained when elaborating on the state of fruition. These grounds are encompassed by the four purities, which is a summary. The phrase "these grounds are" indicates the state of fruition. The phrase "encompassed by those four purities" indicates the skillful means of the state of fruition. In short, completely transcending the worldly grounds, the complete purity of higher intention distinguished by the unseen path encompasses all the fruits of the first ground; and after knowing that path of seeing, relying on obtaining faith-based discipline, the complete purity of the discipline of the path of cultivation encompasses all the fruits of the second ground. Relying on the complete purity of higher discipline, thereby obtaining the samadhi of meditative absorption, the complete purity of higher mind encompasses all the fruits of the third ground; relying on those complete purities of higher mind, thereby knowing all knowable things.
