It is the power of Dharma. So, what is the power that is born together? Naturally remembering past lives, and for the sake of sentient beings, separately examining and enduring various unbearable sufferings for a long time, without ceasing, without feeling weary, and for the sake of sentient beings, being happy to endure suffering solely for the sake of accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings, being born in Tushita and staying in Tushita for as long as life lasts, other sons of gods born in Tushita surpassing the three aspects of other gods, namely the lifespan of gods, the color of gods, and the fame of gods, descending from Tushita, and so on, until manifestly and completely awakening on the Vajra Throne, turning the wheel of Dharma, and the great power between entering into Nirvana, these wonderful and rare powers are not intentionally created through clairvoyance, but are natural powers, therefore, these are called powers born together. So, what is the common power? What is the uncommon power? The uncommon powers that are different from Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas are of three kinds: part, aspect, and realm. The so-called "subtle part" refers to the Tathagata or Bodhisattva who, with immeasurable and countless means of power, truly knows how to benefit immeasurable and countless sentient beings. The so-called "aspect" refers to having all aspects such as the power of clairvoyance, the power of Dharma, and the power born together. The so-called "realm" refers to all world realms and all sentient being realms becoming the object of its power, this is the uncommon power. The common power refers to the power of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas other than these aspects, and all other powers that are common or uncommon with Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, therefore, this is called the common power. These five powers of Bodhisattvas, each one must be understood as inconceivable through five causes, because they completely transcend all speculation, because they have no analogy in the world, because this power is mind...

Merely because it is related to practice, merely because it is incompatible with the mind of an ordinary person who has not entered into meditation, and because it is related to the mind that has entered into meditation. These are called the great power of the Bodhisattva. Maitreya Bodhisattva's expertise in the six places is the manifestation of the great power of the Bodhisattva, namely, being skilled in the arising of the mind, being skilled in the abiding of the mind, being skilled in the arousal of the mind, being skilled in the increase of the mind, being skilled in the decrease of the mind, and being skilled in means. These powers of the Bodhisattvas, as previously stated, are caused by the five reasons that transcend all discriminations, and are inconceivable. Therefore, manifesting them depends on being skilled in the arising of the mind, etc. Steadfastness and vessel, namely, the arising of the mind that distinguishes and does not distinguish, is like this: the arising of the consciousness of taking. The consciousness of taking is the basis for distinguishing and the vessel for distinguishing, so being skilled in its arising is the manifestation of the great power of the Bodhisattva. This is to be explained. What is called steadfastness is the consciousness of taking itself, because it is the basis for the habits of all defiled and purified dharmas. What is called vessel is the world of vessels. What is called distinguishing is distinguishing in the manner of self-awareness as the nature of the ālaya. What is called non-distinguishing is because the image and the object have not been completely cut off. Being skilled in its arising is the manifestation of the great power of the Bodhisattva because it completely removes the obscurations and all the bad destinies of the ālaya consciousness. The arising of the mind that distinguishes various objects and images is like this: the arising of the consciousness of the mind of discrimination. The consciousness of the mind is the distinguishing of various objects and images, so being skilled in its arising is the manifestation of the power of the Bodhisattva. This is to be explained. What is called distinguishing various objects and images
