The near affliction of absorption refers to sinking and agitation, etc. If, relying on external signs, one contemplates the sign of the object of practice of inner samadhi, it means that when walking, whatever is taken as pleasant or unpleasant external signs, relying on that, when abiding, one generates attachment and anger, etc., towards it, making it a sign in the mind, and also like external signs and stability, etc., one looks at the inner image, and also because of the reasons of gain and respect, etc., contemplating the sign of samadhi is the opposite of signless samadhi. The feeling that arises from what one contemplates refers to the feeling of body and mind that arises from contemplating based on the view of the aggregates, which has outflows, follows existence and attachment, and is contrary to all noble paths.
