It is connected with the door of. "Accompanied by investigation" means that at that time, one hears the holy Dharma, or upholds it, or the instructions and subsequent instructions of a virtuous spiritual friend, and applies the mind to the ground of equanimity, therefore it is application. "Accompanied by analysis" means to think, investigate, measure, and closely investigate. Therefore, here too, as before, it is equanimity with investigation and analysis. "Arising from individual investigation" means connecting with the door that follows individual investigation after complete seeking. "Investigating" means that at that time, one has already thought, examined, measured, and closely examined. "Only analysis" means to individually investigate as it is established. Here too, the "ground" is the same as before. "Objectifying mixed phenomena" means connecting with mixed phenomena becoming smaller and larger, and with objectifying limitless phenomena. "Without investigation and without analysis" means objectifying the single taste. Here too, the "ground" is the same as before. Thus, stillness and insight are completely distinguished by the antidotes of investigation and agitation. After that, in order to prevent the complete knowledge of the reason for cultivation from being wasted, the meaning of the words of establishing determination will be explained. Completely knowing the reason for cultivation means that when cultivating stillness, one completely knows the reason for stillness, when cultivating superior seeing, one completely knows the reason for superior seeing, and when cultivating abandonment, one completely knows the reason for abandonment. Establishing determination in order to prevent waste means that the nature of the path of stillness and insight, which is completely distinguished by completely knowing the reason for cultivation, does not degenerate from that. In order to prevent waste, through teaching and explanation, completely knowing the reason for cultivation is establishing determination. So, how to connect? Here, the noble Maitreya says that others think that yogis combine with the nature of the path of stillness and insight that is completely gathered by yoga, when stillness

The reason for meditating on calm abiding at the time of […], and the reason for meditating on grasping at the time of grasping, and the reason for meditating on equanimity at the time of equanimity, if it is necessary to fully understand, then for those who wonder what these three reasons are, after examining their thoughts, one should ask: Blessed One, what is the reason for calm abiding? What is the reason for grasping? What is the reason for equanimity? Here, by showing the attention at the time, it shows the establishment of the determination in order to ensure that the complete understanding of the reason for meditating on the teachings is not wasted. By showing the reason for the object and the reason for the basis, it should be understood as having been explained. Maitreya says that when the mind is agitated or suspected of agitation, this is showing the time for calm abiding, because it is especially necessary to meditate on calm abiding at that time. Among them, "the mind is agitated" means that the mind is not calmed by agitation and regret. "Suspected of agitation" means that the floating thoughts continue to exist. Here, there are two kinds of reasons: the reason for the object and the reason for the basis. Among them, the reason for the object is the cause for obtaining attention, and the reason for the basis should be understood as the cause for the complete purification of the path. Among them, by the phrases "completely disgusted" and "corresponding dharmas," the basic reason for calm abiding is shown, which is the aspect of suffering and the origin. After completely meditating on the mind of calm abiding, in order to completely purify the path of calm abiding, combining the characteristics of the mind of insight with the nature of (the mind of calm abiding) is also the basic reason for calm abiding. Among them, the former is to avert from the unfavorable side, and the latter is to follow the antidote, and in this case, the former should be taken. By the phrase "that uninterrupted mind," the reason for the object of calm abiding is shown, that is, the attention of that mind of calm abiding that focuses on the non-conceptual image, that is called the reason for calm abiding, that is to say, the place where agitation is calmed is calm abiding, and its reason is that attention, therefore it is called the reason for calm abiding, this is what it shows.
