It is the path of certain arising from the meditation of Tara. The so-called "more superior than the superior, more excellent than the excellent" refers to the cause that is more complete than the cause of attainment, and the cause of accomplishment that is more complete than the cause of completeness, more superior than the superior, and more excellent than the excellent. It is like the example of gold shown in the Sutra of the Ten Grounds. It is not certain that these five causes are obtained at the same time. In order to show on which ground the Samatha and Vipassana that focus on the mixed Dharma are realized and attained, the Blessed One asked with "the Samatha and Vipassana that focus on the mixed Dharma," and so on. The so-called "the first ground, the Joyful Ground, is realization" means that one realizes the meaning of going to all Dharmadhatus on that ground. The so-called "the third ground, the Luminous Ground, should be known to be attained" means that on that ground, one attains all the distinctions of the path of Samatha and Vipassana, as well as all the Samadhis of the form and formless realms. In order to guide the beginners, Maitreya said, "Although it is so, even a beginner Bodhisattva should follow and not abandon mindfulness." Thus, because of the increase of virtue, the very nature of the well-differentiated path of Samatha and Vipassana does not degenerate from it. In order not to waste it, the establishment of the increase of virtue is shown through teaching and explanation, that is, the establishment of determination is for the sake of not wasting the increase of virtue. After that, in order not to waste the conceptualization and agitation together with the antidote, the meaning of the words of the establishment of determination, etc., will be explained. The so-called "conceptualization and agitation" is the Samadhi with conceptualization and investigation. The so-called "with antidote" is the antidote to that which has conceptualization and investigation. The antidote to that which has conceptualization is the Samadhi that has no conceptualization but only investigation. The antidote to that which has investigation is the Samadhi that has neither conceptualization nor investigation. The so-called "establishment of determination in order not to waste" refers to the path of Samatha and Vipassana that is well differentiated by conceptualization and agitation together with the antidote.

its nature will not be diminished thereby, and in order not to waste it, the teachings, explanations, and reflections, including the antidotes to agitation and examination, are definitively established. So, how is it connected? Here, the noble Maitreya thinks that others might think: the nature of the path of tranquility and insight, which is completely encompassed by yoga, is the equal entry into the level of equipoise, and it completely distinguishes all arising. If these levels are encompassed by the three samādhis, then how does the nature of the path of tranquility and insight become the three samādhis? Considering the thoughts of those people, they asked the Blessed One: Blessed One, how can tranquility and insight become samādhi with examination and analysis? etc. The Blessed One, with the first mode of the three samādhis, through the teachings, in order not to waste the establishments including examination and analysis antidotes, showed the definitive establishment of the establishments. It should be known that the latter mode shows it through explanation. So, how does Maitreya grasp and examine the so-called "objects of observation and analysis"? etc., how does the Bodhisattva grasp the distinct establishments of the Dharma establishments, those (distinct establishments of the Dharma establishments) except for the first dhyāna to the superior dhyāna, there is no inability to accomplish, and relying on any object, corresponding to both examination and analysis, from the coarse image object arising from the faith-based attention and the reality-based attention, the tranquility and insight that examines accordingly, and except for the first dhyāna to the superior dhyāna, it is the level of its own nature, therefore it shows that it is the samādhi with examination and analysis. So, the so-called "how to grasp" means to grasp the distinct establishments of the Dharma establishments by generating the power of the wisdom of hearing and thinking. The so-called "examination and analysis" means that when completely seeking the object, except for the first dhyāna to the superior dhyāna, there is no inability to accomplish, and relying on any object, for those objects, with both examination and analysis
