Merely attending, is attending. Their sign, called the sign of the two images appearing in the mind at the time of obtaining attention. Called experiencing the clear and coarse, it is said to be the image of the ground of the first dhyana with investigation and analysis. Called subsequent analysis, it is said to be the image of the first dhyana with analysis. Called the samadhi with investigation and analysis, it shows that the shamatha and vipassana of the ground with investigation, except for the special dhyana from the first dhyana, are the samadhi with investigation and analysis. By "of those themselves," etc., it means how the Bodhisattva holds the establishment of the Dharma, those themselves rely solely on the special dhyana of the first dhyana, and in the absence of investigation, only analysis, they have similar aspiration and attention, and the subtle part of the object of the image arising from that very attention, the shamatha and vipassana that follow the hearing, because it is the ground of that special dhyana itself, it is shown that it is the samadhi without investigation and only analysis. Therefore, it is not the subsequent analysis of experiencing the clear and coarse sign, which means that at the time of following the object, relying on the special dhyana, in the absence of investigation and only analysis, there is similar aspiration, and because it arises from that very attention, it is because it is an image. After that appearance, experiencing only subtle recollection, it is said that the image obtained by attending only to the special dhyana is shown to be a subtle part because it is without investigation, just like the recollection that does not focus on the present object of direct perception, but on the aspect of the past object that is shown subsequently. Called subsequent analysis, it is said to be the image that has similarity in the analysis of that very special dhyana. Called the samadhi without investigation and only analysis, it is the shamatha and vipassana of the special ground of dhyana.

This shows that it is a samadhi that is without conceptualization and only with investigation. If you cultivate it, you will attain the Great Brahma. By saying "their characteristics are..." and so on, how do Bodhisattvas grasp the various establishments of the designation of dharma? That is to say, they rely on any of the proximity attainment and the main attainment from the second dhyana up to the peak of existence, and generate the intention to be without conceptualization and without investigation, as well as the naturally accomplished image object arising from the suchness-oriented attention. Since the shamatha and vipassana that investigate in the manner of mind-only through suchness-oriented attention are of the ground from the second dhyana up to the peak of existence, it shows that this is a samadhi without conceptualization and without investigation. Among them, "naturally accomplished in all of all" refers to the time when the object is completely sought, relying on any of the proximity attainment of the second dhyana and above, because this is the image arising from the intention of being without conceptualization and without investigation, and from the suchness-oriented attention. By saying "discriminating by attending to experiencing the dharma," it explains that the self-awareness wisdom discriminates the nature of mind, that is to say, this is also the reason for the image of the second dhyana's proximity attainment and above being without conceptualization and without investigation. By saying "it is a samadhi without conceptualization and without investigation," it shows the samadhi without conceptualization and without investigation of the ground of shamatha and vipassana from the proximity attainment of the second dhyana up to the peak of existence. However, they are not called without conceptualization and without investigation because they are free from attachment to conceptualization and investigation, because they arise from the life and arising born there. These are the ways of showing the three samadhis belonging to the three realms. It should be known that, relying on these, the three samadhis that attain the three nirvanas of the destruction of the view of the perishable collection of the noble path do not belong to the three realms. The so-called "arising from complete seeking" refers to following the complete seeking in the three doors previously mentioned.
