It is taught that it is designated as dull faculties. It is taught that following with faith based on not abiding in the Dharma is designated as dull faculties, which means that Bodhisattvas with dull faculties, from the very beginning, listen to the Dharma such as the Sutra Pitaka, and are unable to grasp it. They enter through faith and the conditions of others, and although they attain the path of Shamatha and Vipassana, they are swayed by others and do not quickly attain the path of union. Therefore, their realization is slow and they abide on a difficult path, so it is taught that they are designated as dull faculties. Thus, in order to eliminate the complete deterioration of the faculties, and to distinguish those whose faculties have not completely deteriorated, by teaching and explaining, the nature of the path of Shamatha and Vipassana does not deteriorate or waste away. Therefore, it is taught that establishing the designation of faculties that have not completely deteriorated is to eliminate the complete deterioration of the faculties and to establish the designation for the purpose of not wasting away. After that, in order to prevent the increase of virtue from being wasted, the meaning of the words of establishing the designation will be explained. The so-called increase of virtue refers to the gradual progression from focusing on Dharma that is not mixed with Shamatha and Vipassana, to focusing on mixed Dharma, to focusing on slightly mixed Dharma, to focusing on greatly mixed Dharma, and to focusing on immeasurably mixed Dharma, thereby causing countless and immeasurable teachings and realizations to increase. The so-called establishing the designation for the purpose of not wasting away means that the nature of the path of Shamatha and Vipassana, which is distinguished by the increase of virtue, does not deteriorate or waste away through teaching and explanation, which is the establishment of the designation of the increase of virtue. How is the connection made? Here, the noble Maitreya thinks that others may think like this: The nature of the path of Shamatha and Vipassana that abides in the Dharma, its object is also Dharma that is not mixed, as well as mixed Dharma, as well as slightly mixed, as well as becoming greatly mixed, and as well as focusing on immeasurable Dharma. So, what is the distinction between these? How much does a Bodhisattva need to attain Shamatha and Vipassana that focus on mixed Dharma?

It will also become. After examining the thoughts of those who think that they can realize and obtain it anywhere. World Honored One, can we also say that Shamatha and Vipassana take non-mixing Dharmas as their objects? Like this, four requests were made. Maitreya Bodhisattva, if Bodhisattvas and others do this, it is to prevent the merits of the Dharma from increasing from being wasted, thereby determining the establishment. How to hold and think about the Dharmas refers to the words of those Dharmas that are held and thought from the Sutra Pitaka and other Dharmas with aspects such as emptiness. Taking each Dharma such as the Sutra Pitaka as the object refers to the branches of any of the twelve parts belonging to the Holy Word, or the name, definition, defining word, or Shamatha and Vipassana that focus on one kind of classification. Even in the Holy Word, they are not mixed, and the Dharma of one is not all mixed, so it shows that it takes non-mixing Dharmas as the object. If the Dharmas such as the Sutra Pitaka themselves, etc., refer to mixing all the names, definitions, defining words, and classifications of all the twelve parts belonging to the Holy Word together, focusing on all of them being one taste, this shows that it takes mixing Dharmas as the object. To combine into one, to collect into one, to knead into one, to gather into a pile, refers to mixing all the twelve parts belonging to the Holy Word together, and then collecting their common names, definitions, defining words, and classifications into four sets, in order. All these Dharmas are, etc., refers to all those collected into four sets, all focusing on suchness, Bodhi, and Nirvana, etc., the place of transformation, tending, flowing, and falling into one taste. Among them, suchness refers to the Dharma realm being completely pure. Tending, flowing, and falling refers to being consistent with the direction, becoming the essence, which is a word of one taste. Again, another way
