Arising from... and distinguished by immaculate complete purity, and self-nature complete purity, and from the wisdom arising from individual discernment through the reasoning of Dharma-nature. The so-called "to the extremely well understood dharmas" refers to the self-aware dharmas of the meaning of non-duality in the nature of mind. The so-called "by liberation" refers to the liberation of the immaculate complete purity of mind, and the liberation of the self-nature complete purity of wisdom. The so-called "in order to touch upon bliss extremely well" refers to the distinction of obtaining the object of complete accomplishment of things and needs, in order to obtain the result of abandoning perfection and wisdom perfection. The so-called "uninterrupted mind" refers to the mind of calm abiding, in which special insight arises without interruption. The so-called "following it" refers to the special insight following that mind of calm abiding. The so-called "it should also be said to be of three kinds" refers to the fact that there are three kinds of special insight following that mind of calm abiding, therefore the mind of calm abiding that precedes it should also be said to be of three kinds, this is a concluding word, namely, it should be said that there are three kinds of calm abiding and arising from characteristics, and arising from seeking, and arising from individual discernment. Here, by teaching and explanation, in order to dispel the clinging to calm abiding as being sufficient with a little, and to prevent it from being wasted, the establishment of the determination shown should also be understood as appropriate in the manner of dispelling from special insight, these are the teachings of the nature of the path of calm abiding and special insight from where it arises, and how many kinds there are. Furthermore, the so-called "calm abiding is of eight kinds" and the so-called "and again of four kinds" refers to the fact that there are eight kinds included within by the distinction of meditation and formlessness, and the four immeasurables are also the nature of the peace of mind that completely afflicts the mind such as harmful thoughts, mainly only calm abiding is explained in detail, and the special insight that follows them is also of so many kinds, therefore they are the teachings of what state the nature of calm abiding and special insight exists in.
