Therefore, it is said that whatever mind attends, that mind constantly attends inwardly, hence it is called attention. The so-called mind that attends with whatever mind, refers to the mind with the aspect of insight that is distinguished by the attention of the path of joining, that is, whatever mind obtains an image object with conceptualization, and attends to it with the four attentions of the aspect of insight, as appropriate. The so-called constantly attending inwardly, hence it is called attention, where "inwardly" refers to maintaining single-pointed concentration with the aspect of calm abiding. That is, with the aspect of insight, the image with conceptualization that arises from the attention of faith in that mind, appears in the mind, these two, in the stage of the path of joining, appear as two, like the aspect of grasper and grasped, without making them two, but truly attending to the nature of the mind, therefore, for the mind that has not abandoned the image object, maintaining it in the manner of self-awareness with the aspect of calm abiding, this is its definition. "Constantly" refers to the meaning of continuously maintaining that calm abiding without interruption by attention. That is, yogis with sharp faculties and minds that are easy to tame, first rely on the single-pointedness of the mind of calm abiding, and by the power of diligence, and the power of familiarization due to the attention that continuously maintains without interruption, they obtain effortless attention, and become a samadhi that transcends investigation, hence they constantly attend. Yogis with dull faculties and minds that are not easy to tame, first rely on the single-pointedness of the mind of calm abiding, and constantly attend according to the order of the nine mental abidings, six powers, and four attentions previously shown, and finally achieve samadhi. This is distinguished by the path of obtaining attention, in the path of calm abiding that pacifies the distraction of signs, it is the nature and distinction of the single-pointedness of the mind. That's all, the yogi's non-conceptual

The path of tranquility, completely separated by the path of attaining the object of the image and attaining mindfulness, has arisen. At that time, the object is the image of non-discrimination. After that, the path of tranquility that pacifies the distraction of characteristics, completely separated by the path of attaining mindfulness in this way, the very one-pointedness of the mind within, which is vast, increasing, and expanding, and at the end of that, The path of tranquility that pacifies the distraction of bad states, completely separated by the mindfulness of the ultimate path of union, the very nature of the extremely pliant body and mind, from the perspective of showing complete separation, having entered in that way and abiding there many times, there, the arising of the extremely pliant body and the extremely pliant mind, that is called tranquility, it is said. Entering in that way means entering into the very one-pointedness of the mind within the path of tranquility that pacifies the distraction of characteristics, completely separated by the path of attaining mindfulness. Abiding there many times is a synonym for the path of tranquility that pacifies the distraction of characteristics, the very one-pointedness of the mind within, which is vast, increasing, and expanding. That is, the nine mental abidings, the six powers, and the four mindfulnesses are all relied upon and familiarized, and through the cause of repeated familiarization, finally the power of complete familiarity and the mindfulness of effortless entry are attained, and it is combined with the time when one is able to meditate. There, the arising of the extremely pliant body and the extremely pliant mind is the very nature of the path of tranquility that pacifies the distraction of bad states, completely separated by the mindfulness of the ultimate path of union. There, the extremely pliant body means the antidote to the bad state of the body, the comfort of the body, arising from the solitude of the body. The extremely pliant mind means the antidote to the bad state of the mind, the workability of the mind, arising from the solitude of the mind. Furthermore, the way of mindfulness of the antidote dharma, the body is extremely pliant because the afflictions to be abandoned by hearing, thinking, and meditation are lessened, and the mind is extremely pliant because the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing are lessened.
