Thus, arranging the twelve categories of scriptures belonging to the Sutra Pitaka, etc., in order, and classifying and combining them in order, is called the classification of the establishment of the Dharma. To abide therein means that Bodhisattvas listen well, hold well, recite fluently, think well with their minds, and deeply understand through observation. Abiding therein, one does not completely dedicate to cyclic existence and enjoyment, etc., but applies it to the path that transcends the world. Therefore, this shows the cause for applying the path of calm abiding and insight of those who transcend the world. 'Unsurpassed' refers to the six unsurpassed things: unsurpassed seeing, unsurpassed hearing, unsurpassed gaining, unsurpassed learning, unsurpassed service, and unsurpassed recollection. 'Perfectly complete' refers to the non-erroneous nature of all dharmas, which is a synonym. 'Bodhi' refers to the meaning of enlightenment. 'Not abandoning aspiration therein' refers to the five characteristics of initially generating the unsurpassed Bodhicitta: the first nature of true aspiration, one's own Bodhi, the aspect of accomplishing the meaning of sentient beings, unsurpassed Bodhi, the object of focusing on all sentient beings, and the preliminary of gathering all virtuous roots that are in accordance with the aspects of Bodhi, and the qualities that do not contradict the misconduct of body, speech, and mind that rely on all sentient beings, and other worldly and transworldly matters. Among all these virtuous dharmas of true aspiration, the Bodhicitta, which is distinguished by the supreme unsurpassedness of true aspiration, is constantly and continuously generated from the depths of the heart. 'Relying on this' means that for those who do not generate such unsurpassed Bodhicitta, they rely on it in a way that does not understand the mental activity of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Relying on this, one does not abandon the meaning of sentient beings, nor does one completely dedicate oneself to tending towards Nirvana, etc.

And because it leads to the path of unsurpassed Bodhi, it is a basis for tranquility that is superior to the two vehicles, and a cause for leading to the path of insight. It reveals the cause that is not in vain. Therefore, the object of establishing the Dharma is the place, and not abandoning the aspiration for unsurpassed perfect enlightenment is the support. For the Mahayana practitioner, one should meditate on the nature of the path of tranquility and insight. This shows the cause of the combination of the place, and the cause of the combination of the support. After that, the meaning of the words that reveal the cause of combination through the object will be explained. So, how is the connection made? Here, the noble Maitreya thinks that others would think like this: Like this, by revealing the cause of the combination of the place and the support, although the method of combining the nature of the path of tranquility and insight, which is included in yoga, and the cause that is not in vain have been revealed, since it arises depending on the object of focus, the Sugata also taught four kinds of objects of focus in those sutras. What are the four? Pervasive object, object of taming the antidote, skillful object, and object of taming afflictions. So, what is the pervasive object? It is also four kinds: image with conceptualization, image without conceptualization, the limit of reality, and the complete accomplishment of what is needed. What is the object of taming the antidote? It is five kinds: impurity, love, dependent arising with only this as the condition, element differentiation, and mindfulness of inhalation and exhalation. What is the skillful object? It is also five kinds: skillful in aggregates, skillful in elements, skillful in sources, skillful in dependent arising, and skillful in what is and is not. What is the object of taming afflictions? It is two kinds through the difference of the worldly path and the supramundane path. The object of taming afflictions through the worldly path is also two kinds.

That is, for the lower grounds, view them as coarse, and for the higher grounds, view them as peaceful. The object of purification of afflictions by the path beyond the world also has two aspects, namely, focusing on the established truth and focusing on the unestablished truth. So, what do these four types of objects focus on? The nature of the path of calm abiding and insight meditation, which is encompassed by yoga, should be combined with it, and the thoughts of those who think, "Which object is the object of which path?" should be examined. The object that pervades everything goes through all the paths of the world and beyond the world, and it follows all the objects, such as the object of purifying practices, and it is what all the perfectly enlightened Buddhas of the past, future, and present have taught. These are the aspects of insight meditation, which possess all things, possess true things, and possess the objects of cause and effect. Among them, the image with conceptualization is the object of the aspect of insight meditation, and the image without conceptualization is the object of the aspect of calm abiding. The limit of things is the object that possesses all things of suchness and reality, and possesses true things. The complete accomplishment of necessity is the object that possesses the things of cause and effect, because the cause of complete accomplishment of attention is the abandonment of bad destinies in the result, as well as transformation, as well as obtaining the essence, as well as knowing the knowable, and as well as entering the path of seeing. These are called pervasive objects, and knowing that it needs to be manifested, the Blessed One taught these four things of the objects of calm abiding and insight meditation, namely, the image with conceptualization, the image without conceptualization, the limit of things, and the complete accomplishment of necessity. For those things that are said, with "called" and so on, what is the cause of combining the objects, and which object is combined with which path's object. Among them, the one with conceptualization
