I have explained the detailed classification of the path. Further distinguishing, the path of yoga is explained in six ways: complete knowledge, incomplete knowledge, self-nature, the cause of union, attainment, the method of attainment, and establishing the designation in order not to waste, thereby explaining these. Among these, the so-called "complete knowledge" and "incomplete knowledge" refer to the meaning summarized in this chapter, starting from the establishment of the designation of dharma, with the distinction of the path of tranquility and insight completely contained by yoga, universally connected with all the contents explained by the cause of the path, self-nature, and detailed classification. Here, the numerous questions raised by the noble Maitreya are called "incomplete knowledge." The numerous answers given by the Blessed One are called "complete knowledge." Although this is universally the same in all scriptures, here, the questions and answers are particularly numerous, and the Blessed One, with his own complete knowledge, shows it to others who do not completely know, in order to explain the greatness of the teacher, it is specifically mentioned. From beginning to end of this chapter, it should be appropriately connected with all the scriptures of questions and answers. The so-called "self-nature" refers to the explanation by the path of tranquility and insight completely contained by yoga. Among them, the word "yoga" means "union," which is higher discipline. The so-called tranquility and insight refer to higher mind and higher wisdom. Higher discipline, higher mind, and higher wisdom are combined in a direct and indirect way, so higher discipline is called union. Thus, the higher mind and higher wisdom completely contained by the union of higher discipline are called the self-nature of the path of yoga. Also, another saying is that the word "yoga" also refers to reason, which is the four reasons. Tranquility and insight depend on the cause of union, etc., so it is also completely contained by reason, and because of abandoning unfavorable qualities, generating antidotes, and obtaining results, it is completely

is also included. Since it does not contradict the signs such as the direct perception of a yogi, it is also completely included by the reason established by reason. Because it is the nature of dependent origination, it is also completely included by the reason of the nature of phenomena. Therefore, the Śamatha and Vipaśyanā that are completely included by reason are called the essence of the path of yoga. If we summarize the meaning of the words in general, the Śamatha and Vipaśyanā that are completely included by the higher morality and the four kinds of reasoning are the essence of the path of yoga. Thus, the Śamatha and Vipaśyanā that are not included by the higher morality are the inner dullness and the nature of views, so they are not the path. The Śamatha and Vipaśyanā that are not included by reason are also a wrong path, so they are not the path. The Śamatha and Vipaśyanā that are included by the higher morality and the yoga of reason are the path to attain the supreme fruit that is completely distinguished by abandonment and the perfection of wisdom. Therefore, the path of Śamatha and Vipaśyanā that is completely included by yoga is the essence. Moreover, from this chapter, universally connect all the teachings that show the essence of the path of Śamatha and Vipaśyanā. The cause of combination is shown by "starting from the various establishments of Dharma installation", that is, from where the Bhagavan Bodhisattva dwells and relies on, to what is said between "for example, the edge of things and the needs are completely accomplished". Obtaining and the method of obtaining, and the determination of the non-wasting installation are shown by "thoroughly distinguishing". Among them, obtaining refers to, starting from the four objects of the Bhagavan Bodhisattva's Śamatha and Vipaśyanā, relying on and dwelling there, to what is said between "Thus, the Bodhisattva is skilled in Vipaśyanā". The method of obtaining refers to, starting from the Bhagavan Bodhisattva's mental attention to the mind, to what is said between "loving-kindness is not Vipaśyanā, but it should be said to be in accordance with the intention and similarity after Vipaśyanā". For the sake of not wasting, the determination of the installation
