In general, all explanations of the sutras of interpretable meaning (drang ba'i don) spoken by the great teacher (pa chen po) should be accepted. "For those who have truly entered all the Great Vehicle," this means that the paths of purification of the Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas are the same, the purification is the same, and it is taught as one vehicle. "Having good distinctions" means revealing the ultimate meaning. "Extremely wonderful" means seeing in the manner of all vehicles, and because of the arising of the actions of learners and non-learners, it is inconsistent with all the world. The so-called third turning of the wheel of Dharma, relative to the second turning of the wheel of interpretable meaning turned for those who have truly entered the Great Vehicle, is the third. In this case, apply this as revealing the ultimate true meaning. The four words, "unsurpassed," etc., are of ultimate meaning because there is no other way to interpret them. This shows the greatness of the ultimate meaning itself. After that, what will be explained is about the meaning of the words that show the increase of great merit, etc. "Showing the greatness of the increase of merit" means that, for this teaching that reveals the ultimate true meaning, applying it in sequence with the ten practices is the way to ripen sentient beings, the path to create great merit, the path of union, and the path of completely purifying obscurations. Therefore, it produces the fruit of unsurpassed enlightenment. Furthermore, for this teaching that reveals the ultimate meaning, any son or daughter of good family who applies it in sequence with the ten practices, then for them, through each practice, the greatness of immeasurable, countless merits will arise. Therefore, having made the intention to show that, the Bhagavan said, "Beginning with the non-essence of all dharmas," etc. Having heard, etc., shows these ten practices, and apply them appropriately. Even one in a hundred does not come close, one in a thousand and one in a million means expressing it in a way that is widely known in the world. "Number" means to count equally.

It is just like that. For example, Mount Snow and 'Destroyer of Darkness' (a mountain name) can be considered as belonging to the same category. However, Mount Snow and mustard seeds cannot be considered as belonging to the same category. A part refers to a branch, which means having the same nature. For example, the top of things with a peak is large, but the top of grass is not a part of them. Counting also refers to the same. For example, Mount Sumeru and Mount Snow can be counted together, but Mount Sumeru and mustard seeds cannot be counted together. A metaphor is similarity. For example, something similar to a cow is called a cow, just as a bee is a path. A cause also means that one cannot tolerate things that are its cause. This shows the greatness of generating merit. After that, the meaning of the words that show the greatness of the definitive word will be explained. Showing the greatness of the definitive word refers to the name of this chapter that shows the characteristic of the absence of self-nature of all phenomena, that is, the definitive meaning of ultimate truth, which is the definitive word that is shown. Therefore, in order to show it, the Blessed One said, "In this category of Dharma that explains the profound intention, what is the name of this teaching? How should we uphold it?" and so on. In this category of Dharma that explains the profound intention, it refers to the overall structure of the sutra that explains the definitive meaning. This teaching refers to connecting this chapter, which shows the characteristic of the absence of self-nature of all phenomena, with individual cases. In the definitive meaning of ultimate truth, ultimate truth is related to the meaning of excellence, and excellence refers to the correct knowledge of the mundane and supramundane. Meaning refers to its object, that is, the Dharma with the characteristic of all afflictions, and the Dharma with the characteristic of purification. Call this the definitive meaning of ultimate truth, meaning that the name should be short, which is the greatness of the definitive word. After that, showing the greatness of obtaining the result refers to the minds of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
