For those who see the emptiness of self-nature and the emptiness of ultimate self-nature as different emptinesses of self-nature, the Blessed One does not posit the birthlessness of self-nature and the emptiness of ultimate self-nature. For those who do not see it that way, relying on the characteristic of other-dependence, the Blessed One posits the birthlessness of self-nature and the emptiness of ultimate self-nature of all phenomena. This is the definition of the term. There is no self-nature in the ultimate sense, not even one, which means that the previously stated emptiness of ultimate self-nature, which is not the object of the pure other-nature, should be understood. The object of conceptual thought, the place of the characteristic of the completely imputed nature, the characteristic of the formations, is not completely established as the completely imputed nature, which means that the characteristic of other-dependence itself is not completely established as the object designated by the name and symbol of the completely imputed nature. It is called non-self-nature simply because it is without self-nature, and this is simply because of the self-nature of the completely imputed. The absence of self of phenomena is suchness, which means that it is not established as the completely imputed nature, and simply because self-nature is without self-nature, the self-nature of other-dependence is suchness, which is the purity of the element of phenomena. What is the pure object? Purity refers to the true wisdom that is completely distinguished by the transformation of the basis, which is the true wisdom that is beyond the world. Its object is the suchness of the absence of self of phenomena mentioned above. This is the perfected nature, which means that the suchness that is distinguished by the absence of self of phenomena in this way, and the true wisdom that is distinguished by the transformation of the basis, which is the pure transcendence, is the perfected suchness, and the perfected true wisdom, therefore it is called the perfected nature. It does not exist as the object and the object-possessor, but because the self-nature of true wisdom is suchness, it should be regarded as the self-nature of the individually realized noble ones. Relying on this, the Blessed One, all phenomena

Saying "Ultimate reality is without inherent existence, and it is established from that" means that the perfectly established characteristic is without inherent existence because of the ultimate reality being without inherent existence. Therefore, for those beings who see the nature of such perfectly established reality as different from the non-inherent existence of ultimate reality, the Blessed One does not establish the non-inherent existence of ultimate reality. But for those who do not see these, based on the characteristic of the perfectly established reality, the Blessed One establishes the non-inherent existence of the ultimate reality of all phenomena. This is the concluding statement. The statement "Ultimate reality has inherent existence, and it is one from that" refers to the perfectly established characteristic, distinguished by the absence of self in phenomena, which is the previously explained non-inherent existence of ultimate reality, and should be understood as such. The noble Ultimate Excellent Superior demonstrates examples of a saddle, a base for painting, butter, and space, which are merely demonstrations of the objects themselves, and are not intended to be understood as necessarily in that order. Therefore, those who are like the position of a lama, through the meaning symbolized by these four examples, add the implication of order, that is, first the example of butter is shown, then the example of a saddle is shown, then the example of a base for painting is shown, and finally the example of space is shown. The four examples arranged in this order show the talk of ethics, the talk of samadhi, the talk of wisdom, the talk of conventional truth, and the talk of ultimate truth, and it should be understood that they correspond in order. Why is the order of these four talks necessarily arranged in this way? Because first, if one abides in higher ethics, higher mind will arise, therefore, first the talk of ethics and samadhi is shown. After that, relying on the higher mind, higher wisdom will arise, therefore, after that the talk of wisdom is shown. After that, the objects to be known by higher wisdom are of two kinds: the worldly path and the path beyond the world. Among them, the worldly path is encompassed by conventional truth, therefore it must be realized first, so after that...
