It will become the cognition of a vast open space. What is the reason for that? Because in this sutra, there is no fault of broken discipline that is not discussed. Shariputra, by what cause and what condition is it called broken discipline? By practicing broken discipline, it is called broken discipline. Impure speech, as well as the actions of the three times, as well as the actions of many karmic edges, as well as the actions of many speeches, as well as delighting in sleep, as well as delighting in noise, as well as delighting in elaboration, as well as speaking irrational and improper words, as well as clinging to self, as well as clinging to sentient beings, as well as clinging to life, as well as clinging to individuals, as well as not respecting father, as well as mother, as well as monks, as well as Brahmins, as well as practicing the name of medicine, as well as destroying families, as well as acting as messengers, as well as delighting in the karmic edges of families, as well as associating with householders, as well as serving as servants of householders, as well as destroying leaves, as well as flowers, as well as fruits, as well as granting full ordination to those who have not reached the age of twenty, as well as granting full ordination to those who have incomplete limbs, as well as accepting raw grain, as well as accepting raw meat, as well as accepting gold and silver, as well as speaking falsely, as well as loose conduct, as well as small beans, as well as not being grateful, as well as small faith, as well as ignorance, as well as much sleep, as well as much regret, as well as anger, as well as much deceit, as well as great jealousy, as well as shame, as well as shamelessness, as well as arrogance, as well as pride, as well as conceit, as well as haughtiness, as well as abundant food, as well as arrogance due to a fearless mind, as well as the seven prides, as well as evil deception, as well as flattery, as well as partiality, as well as measuring by gain, as well as acquiring by acquisition, as well as not having faith in the Three Jewels, as well as not believing in the ripening of karma, as well as clinging to this life, as well as not clinging to the next life, as well as due to doubt and indecision, therefore it is called broken discipline. Shariputra, impure actions of body, speech, and mind, as well as possessing an impure livelihood, those are like feces. Those bodies will be destroyed, and after death, they will be reborn in the hells of sentient beings. Those are to be abandoned by the Buddhas, as well as the Shravakas of the Buddhas, as well as those who seek virtue, just like impure...

If red sandalwood is placed in an impure container, it also becomes impure. The Perfection of Wisdom in One Hundred Thousand Lines states: Shariputra, in this way, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the six perfections, at the very moment of first generating the mind of enlightenment, they enter the faultless state of a Bodhisattva and attain the stage of non-retrogression. Shariputra, in this way, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva first generates the mind of enlightenment, they directly realize unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, manifestly become a Buddha, turn the wheel of Dharma, accomplish the benefit of countless sentient beings, and pass into nirvana in the realm of complete nirvana. Even after they have completely passed into nirvana, the sacred Dharma can remain for an eon or even longer. The commentary on the Perfection of Wisdom in One Hundred Thousand Lines states: The twelfth is that they possess those qualities and increase the power of the Buddha-field, purify their mind-stream completely with their own qualities, and with little effort, they attain the first ground, and then immediately, without great effort, they become a Buddha, turn the wheel of Dharma, and the teachings remain for as long as time exists. Shantideva said: If there is a remedy to be taken, why be unhappy? If there is no remedy to be taken, why be unhappy? Unhappiness and anger conquer the remedy, and one becomes ignorant of the remedy. Because of dejection, there is no enthusiasm, and one becomes seized by great decline. Thinking thus, even for a moment, life becomes shorter. Therefore, meaningless and harmful things should be habitually abandoned like poison. How can unhappiness be abandoned? It is by abandoning a light and very soft mind. In the Sutra Requested by the Fierce One, it is said: Abandon a mind like a petal of the cotton tree. In the Array of Trees Sutra, it is said: In order to destroy all afflictions, one should generate a mind that is difficult to subdue. Like this. If one is accustomed to it, there will be no difficulty at all. For example, just as under the control of afflictions, all sentient beings perceive suffering as happiness, similarly, for all arising suffering, establishing the perception of happiness, being accustomed to it is the very perception of happiness.
