Now, viewing it as a Buddha-field, and also viewing it as having no Buddha-field, just that much, the Bodhisattva has protected the faculties. The Bodhisattva listens to everything spoken by the Buddha and also understands the meaning of what is heard. As it is heard, it is held, and as it is held, it is declared to others, that is much hearing. Manjushri said: The Bodhisattva's fear arises from both conditioned and unconditioned. From the conditioned arises the fear of afflictions, and from the unconditioned arises the fear of no afflictions. Manjushri, What fear is there in no afflictions? In the three realms of the gods, there is the fear of afflictions, and if the Bodhisattva does not generate afflictions there, he will become a Shravaka. The Bodhisattva does not abandon, and thus accomplishes the Paramita of Giving. Completely transcending from discipline is discipline. With harmful thoughts as patience, with laziness as diligence, with forgetfulness as meditation, like a fool, like a mute, like the initial matter and mind, one can accomplish the Prajnaparamita, and just that much is abiding on the path. Manjushri, based on what thought do you speak these words? These four sons of gods are not abandoned by the Bodhisattvas, namely sentient beings and Dharma, and the Dharma of Bodhi and virtuous Dharma. Not abandoning these four, one can accomplish the Paramita of Giving. Completely transcending from discipline is completely transcending from discipline. With Samadhi and transcending Samadhi as wisdom, transcending wisdom as liberation, thus one accomplishes discipline. Entering harmful thoughts is the vehicle of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, entering the Great Vehicle, entering the Great Vehicle is the Paramita of Patience. Not making the body, speech, and mind dull with laziness, diligently striving in accordance with the Dharma is diligence. Even in dreams, Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas have no mindfulness, that is forgetfulness. Not falling into such a state, abiding in the Great Vehicle is meditation. All dharmas are material.

Oh, therefore, knowing the root and so on, and the nature of reality as it is, is wisdom. When the mind is without attachment, it is the supreme Bodhicitta. The self-nature of the mind is manifest, that is the characteristic of wisdom. Generating Bodhicitta, in all things, completely dedicating to Bodhi, and thoroughly examining from Bodhicitta, that is the characteristic of skillful means. Wisdom without skillful means will not cause the unborn to arise. Skillful means without wisdom will not make the wise completely peaceful. The four hundred and four diseases are as follows: one hundred and one caused by wind, one hundred and one caused by bile, one hundred and one caused by phlegm, and one hundred and one caused by a combination. There are three types of karma: related to lifespan, related to the intermediate state, and related to the next life. If a man engages in impure conduct with a man, that person, after death, will be reborn in a hell called "Terror." If one engages in impure conduct with a ewe or a Tibetan woman, one will be reborn in a hell called "Atsatsa." If one engages in impure conduct with a prostitute or another inappropriate person, one will be reborn in a hell called "Kyihud." If one engages in impure conduct with a Bhikshuni whose precepts are broken and whose conduct is bad, one will be reborn in a hell called "Uninterrupted Death." If two people are in dispute, and a minister of the king or another trusted person takes bribes and favors one side, or makes an unjust judgment due to greed or other reasons, one will be reborn in a hell called "Eleven Tongues." If one promises to give wealth to the suffering, the sick, the hungry, the helpless, and the poor, but does not give it, and promises to give food and drink but does not give it, one will be reborn in a hell called "Hopeless Joy." Loving meaningless Dharma, women without deceit and jealousy, both worlds will be destroyed, standing before men. Her words are very unstable, always skilled at arousing desire, her heart cares about the thoughts of others, pleasing in the manner of others. At first gentle and obedient, afterwards the mind is like a vajra. The mind is light and useless, respect makes one forgetful, a hundred good things are
