I asked, "What is the unchanging vehicle of Mantra Fruit Vajra like?" The great master replied: "Great sovereign, listen! Unchanging can be understood in five ways. That is, the primordial ground is unchanging, free from faults. Self-existing spontaneous perfection is unchanging, free from faults. Speech itself is unchanging, free from faults. Mind itself is unchanging, free from faults. Realm itself is unchanging, free from faults. Great sovereign, for example, in the appearance of beings in time, each awakening corresponds to an affliction. Once realization manifests, each affliction corresponds to an awakening, and it is called a Buddha. Further explanation is as follows: The primordial ground is as vast as the sky. There is no distinction between Buddha and sentient beings. There is no distinction between realization and non-realization. There is no distinction between happiness and suffering. There is no distinction between samsara and nirvana. Non-duality, free from faults and merits, is originally inexpressible, free from words. In the nature of self-existing spontaneous perfection, the distinction between realization and non-realization arises. At the time of realization, it is Buddha. At the time of non-realization, it is sentient beings. The distinction between happiness and suffering arises. At the time of realization, happiness arises. At the time of non-realization, suffering arises. The distinction between samsara and nirvana arises. In non-realization, one wanders in samsara. At the time of realization, it is nirvana. The distinction between affliction and Buddha arises. At the time of non-realization, four afflictions arise. The nature of the four afflictions is explained as follows: Affliction of the body, affliction of speech, affliction of mind, affliction of realm. The affliction of the body is a body with outflows. The affliction of speech is speech with cessation and decline. The affliction of mind is a mind of happiness and suffering. The affliction of realm is the self-realm of uneasy suffering. If these four afflictions are not fundamentally cut off, one cannot attain Buddhahood even after countless eons. If these four afflictions are cut off, they are the four Buddhas. Self-nature is liberated in its own place, and happiness arises from within. Do not speculate on views, but practice the instructions now. Do not fantasize in meditation, but liberate self-nature in its own place. Do not be artificial in behavior, but do it without restraint. Do not expect the next life in the result, but do it without doubt. When the affliction of the body is purified, it is the wish-fulfilling body. When the afflictions of speech are cleared, they increase like a waterfall. When the afflictions of mind are cleared, they increase like great wisdom. When the afflictions of the environment are cleared, they increase like a great mandala. If you wish to become a Buddha, know it thus. Because the body is complete without remainder, it is the true Great Perfection. Because the speech is complete without remainder, it is the true Great Perfection. Because the mind is complete without remainder, it is the true Great Perfection. Because the environment is complete without remainder, it is the true Great Perfection. Because there is a great transcendence of existence, it is the true Great Perfection. Because the signs are liberated in their own place, it is the true instruction. Because the hopes and doubts of the mind are cut off, it is the true instruction. Because self-confidence arises in oneself, it is the true instruction. Thus it was said. The eighth chapter, the Secret Mantra Fruit Vehicle of the Jewel Debate Wheel. Furthermore, the Great Lord asked: O Great Teacher, the characteristics of the vehicles are countless, and each vehicle has its own spontaneous accomplishment. Since the characteristics of spontaneous accomplishment are not the same, how should we debate spontaneous accomplishment? Thus he asked. The Great Teacher replied: Great Lord, listen! Spontaneous accomplishment cannot be fully expressed, but to explain it separately, there are three types of spontaneous accomplishment calculations: the spontaneously accomplished ground, the spontaneously accomplished path, and the spontaneously accomplished fruit. The spontaneously accomplished ground also has two: the ground of all and the ground of oneself. The ground of all is the dharmata space, and the ground of oneself is the spontaneously accomplished nature. The spontaneously accomplished path also has two: the way of confusion upwards and the way of reversal downwards. The way of confusion upwards combines the subtle and coarse with meaning. The way of reversal downwards combines the three kayas into one essence. The spontaneously accomplished fruit also has two: the Sambhogakaya of the Buddha and the Nirmanakaya. Furthermore, there are separate explanations: the four spontaneously accomplished occurrences and the five spontaneously accomplished actions. To put it briefly, there are four types: the spontaneously accomplished ground, the spontaneously accomplished nature, the spontaneously accomplished power, and the spontaneously accomplished name. Among these, to explain it extensively, the spontaneously accomplished ground has five: the spontaneously accomplished ground of the ground and the spontaneously accomplished nature.
