No. For the understanding of meaning and generality, at the time of expression, it must possess five qualities that distinguish it from other understandings. If one of these elements is missing, it cannot be achieved. What are these five? They are: focusing on meaning, originating from sound, appearing similar, commonly known, and manifest attachment. Among them, focusing on meaning means distinguishing the object, not just arising from sound itself. Originating from sound means distinguishing from the perspective of cause, not just arising from meaning itself. Appearing similar means distinguishing from the perspective of the form of meaning, not the appearance of different expressers. Commonly known means distinguishing from the perspective of the form of sound, not the form of sound that is known to be different among the expresser and others. Manifest attachment means distinguishing from the perspective of attachment, not the state of non-attachment. There are also four types of attachment, some of which are complete, and some of which are incomplete, which will be explained later. Therefore, the fear arising from hearing the speech of a Yaksha originates only from sound, and thus lacks four elements. It is similar to the form of expressing the generality of sound, but it is not related to the general form of meaning, because it has no dependence, so it cannot be said to be the object of relation. The element originating from sound is incomplete, and similarly, there is no generality of sound. These elements are the places of separation for each of them. The respective abilities of these are: focusing on meaning generates the form of meaning; originating from sound generates the form of the generality of sound; appearing similar and commonly known generate attachment and enable others to understand; manifest attachment connects the name and the named object. If these are incomplete, the result will be the opposite. The order of arising at the time of expression is: in most cases, first seeing the object and then generating its form, at which point the thought arises, "What is this name?" wanting to name it. When hearing the sound of another speaker saying, "This is a pillar," the general form of the sound, "This is a pillar," arises. Then the sound "pillar" is uttered. Some people first

Just hearing the sound "of", after the knowledge with the sound image arises from the sound, when the thought of searching for what that is the name of arises, when other speakers point and say "This is a pillar", then knowledge related to the name arises. Manifest clinging is first manifested as direct perception, and then later when the named knowledge similar to the thing arises, clinging arises to that image itself, thinking that it is the thing itself. After that, establishing the term of the name is to manifest clinging to the subject of the image of the sound, the image of the letter, thinking that it is the image of the thing itself. After that, when stating the characteristics of the sound itself, clinging arises to one's own characteristics, thinking that it is the image itself, like this, due to the power of clinging, the name and the named thing are connected. This third clinging is very strong, the speaker himself also speaks in order to indicate the thing, and the listener who is proficient in the term can also understand the meaning through the sound. The fourth clinging is that foolish people who have not mastered the scriptures go to study, they cling to the form that shows the letters as the letters themselves, due to this clinging, the image of the letters and the consciousness related to the conceptual thought will also cling to the general sound image that resides in the unclear as the image of the letter form, but this does not happen to all speakers. Because of clinging to the form as the letter itself, the content written in the book is taken as the object of narration. Those who are proficient in the term, the speaker utters the sound, and the listeners, the way they generate knowledge from the sound is like this: For the speaker, when uttering the sound, because the way of the five branches was very familiar when the agreement was made earlier, so now when speaking, that way appears naturally and effortlessly, like this, even if the thing itself is very close, two images will appear, and it also relies on other factors of the sound's own characteristics, thereby uttering the sound. The listeners are also accustomed to it because they were accustomed to it when the agreement was made earlier, so now when they hear the sound, the power of the sound only generates the image of the sound itself, because they previously clung to the image of the sound as the image of the thing, therefore, due to that power, they will think "This is it", like this, mixing it with the period when the agreement was made earlier, thereby understanding the image of the thing. The image is also similar to the thing.
