者。若登山则不厌倦，力大喜悦而行，喜好芝麻或甜食。说是夜叉心力者。不稳、嗔怒、恶毒，喜好酒和掺酒的肉。面容显现不悦，依赖罗刹的心力。不稳、粗糙、有气味，常行不净，畏缩，喜好空屋。依赖食肉者的心力。愚蠢，喜好走邪路，如母马般向外奔跑，常喜好吃草，家畜的心力与言语相同。能忍受风、寒冷、酷热，喜好主人，声音悦耳，内心狭隘且懒惰，依赖人类的心力。颈项鸣叫且恐惧，常喜好此空处，具有喜好不净的姿态，依赖虫的心力。力大，常有依赖，具有完全轮回的姿态，最喜好母马，马是飞禽的心力者。勇敢且恐惧，时时处处都在变动，最喜好母马，非常害怕死亡。鞭打时则极度激动，喜好住在山顶和家中，感受恩情且具大力，是人类的心力者。天和仙人、夜叉、龙，乐神以及心力，是平等融合的马，对一切事业都极赞叹。人和饿鬼、非天，鸟类相似是中等，除此之外的心力者，马说是下等。一切时心力最主要，一切都安住于心力中。《夏利诃陀罗经》中所说的心力观察品，第三十六品。诸子，光彩有五种，马在时节会显现。为何这些会显现，因是自性故说为五种。颜色和毛发、物质以及形状等，眼睛所见之外的其他，说是光彩的音声。略说物质有四种功德，颜色形体如白色等，马的颜色虽各不相同，但也能从长毛中显现。光彩微细且清澈，在近处才能显现。没有光彩

One who does not tire when climbing mountains, delights in strength, joy, and movement, and enjoys sesame or sweet foods is said to have the heart-strength of a Yaksha. Unstable, wrathful, and malicious, fond of alcohol and meat mixed with alcohol, with a face that appears unpleasant, relies on the heart-strength of a Rakshasa. Unstable, rough, and odorous, constantly engaging in impurity, shrinking, and fond of empty houses, relies on the heart-strength of a flesh-eater. Foolish, fond of taking the wrong path, running outward like a mare, constantly enjoying eating grass, the heart-strength of a domestic animal is similar to speech. Enduring wind, cold, and heat, fond of its owner, with a pleasant voice, narrow-minded and lazy, relies on the heart-strength of humans. With a neck that cries out and is fearful, constantly fond of this empty place, possessing a nature that delights in impurity, relies on the heart-strength of a worm. Powerful, constantly dependent, possessing a nature of complete cyclic existence, greatly fond of mares, the horse has the heart-strength of a winged creature. Brave and fearful, changing its abode from time to time, greatly fond of mares, and extremely afraid of death. When whipped, it becomes extremely agitated, fond of dwelling on peaks and in houses, aware of kindness and possessing great strength, that is the one with the heart-strength of a human. Gods, sages, Yakshas, Nagas, Gandharvas, and heart-strength, whichever horse is equally combined, is greatly praised for all activities. Humans, pretas, asuras, similar to birds are intermediate, other than those with heart-strength, the horse is said to be inferior. At all times, heart-strength is the most important, everything abides in heart-strength. The thirty-sixth chapter, Examination of Heart-Strength, from the Sutra of Shalihotra. Sons, there are five kinds of radiance, which appear in horses at times. Because these appear, they are considered fivefold because they are the nature of it. Color, hair, substance, and likewise shape, what else can be perceived by the eye? It is said to be the sound of radiance. Briefly, substance has four qualities, color and form such as white, although the colors of horses are different, they can also appear from long hair.
