In matters of travel, it runs elsewhere, returns without hesitation, and sometimes goes elsewhere. It is offered like sheep and deer, and occasionally the tamer changes. It avoids water, trees, and wells, and also runs and separates in the customs of friends. It does not stay within the herd of horses, and also goes into other armies. Even if one tries very hard to change its direction, it cannot be turned back. It does not arise from horse whipping, but desires to arise and enter. Whatever is life-threatening, whatever is displeasing, these are especially increased, and even whipping is of no benefit; this is called a 'bad horse.' Listen to its characteristics: the amount of load it carries is crooked, the mouth and genitals are crooked, any thin horse with a vulture-like head, extremely drooping testicles, large lines, a black upper lip and palate. Anyone with a sunken mouth, yellowish-white, reddish-yellow color, anyone with uneven teeth, wrinkles on the face, non-blackish yellow, large eyes like flower eyes, small cheekbones like a vulture's eye. Anyone with a short upper lip, a very large head and ears, sunken cheeks, eyes like a frog or cat, hair like a rabbit's color and rough, one white testicle, or three white testicles. The color described is like the color of smoke, wrinkles on the shoulder blades. These and many others are considered to be characteristic of a bad horse. Therefore, this and similar horses, places and learning activities, as well as running activities, should be done separately starting from the foal. Other differences in activities will be explained in order. It is best to be in a windless place, and the place of use should be comfortable. After that, if it can tolerate touch, then do other things. The owner should provide food and drink, and medicines should be prepared according to the rituals. (Tibetan), (Sanskrit Devanagari), (Sanskrit Roman transliteration), (Literal Chinese meaning). The flower of Karavira, mixed with milk and Kalangtha, sesame ash boiled in it, Kokilaksha Swarajika, ash and mixed together. Boil with curd, keep for seven days. Give this to it for seven days, give it to drink according to the ritual. If it becomes controlled by drinking in this way, the horse will tolerate touch, etc.

One's own urine and the urine of a mare, As well as earwax, Long pepper, black root, and turmeric, Harenu, and the three hot medicines, Mixed with sandalwood, Crush them and soak them in a secluded place. With this, on the days of the new moon, Apply eye medicine to the horse. For those that are naturally difficult to cure, Pacify their roughness. Bear and leopard claws, dog bones, Cow's jaw, mustard seeds, Mixed with peacock bile, Will eliminate the poison of roughness. For horses that are always frightened, Tame this roughness. On the eighth and fourteenth days, Especially fumigate with incense. Thus, touch, sound, and, Form will be endured with ease. Whatever it is allowed to do, Do it accordingly. Palate, corners of the mouth, forehead, and, Lower jaw, under the eyebrows, And also the horse's eyes, apply long pepper, Root, and the three hot medicines. With cow dung, Repeatedly smear its entire body. If its limbs are internally injured, Apply honey and sugar. Cardamom, vetiver, white sandalwood, Rue, sandalwood, agarwood, As well as nutmeg, saffron, sesame oil, etc., Fumigate the horse well with incense. If the horse becomes weak, Fumigate repeatedly with incense, Sound, touch, and form, Will certainly be endured. Until it is completely calmed down, Apply this ritual. Then it will not be angry, Nor will it harm the horseman. It will not dislike the place where it lives, It will eat grass without anger. It will not droop its ears, It will be very happy with the trainer. When preparing to set out on the road, It will not abandon and be afraid, When led, its mind will become gentle, Even if threatened with words, it will be afraid. Even if carried at will, It will not act improperly. Even if it bumps into other things, It will not be afraid. Thus, it is said that a horse without roughness, Is able to endure. Curses, harms from evil spirits, As well as the harms of horse wind disease, The harms of the place should be ignored. Associating with the untamed, The horse's mind will not change, But it will become rough. Therefore, for these harms, I think this is the method of pacification. For those who, even after doing these rituals, Roughness has not subsided, Then they should be banished to the wilderness.
