Doing good deeds and so on, and many other pleasing things, should be done with auspiciousness and offerings. The horse is a famous mare, and should be combined with auspiciousness. Offerings should be made to gods and Brahmins, and surrounded by other sentient beings. Clean food and good essence should also be given. Doing so will become good, otherwise it will not become good. The radiance will disappear, and courage and strength, appearance and health, bravery, fearlessness, and wisdom, will be explained in detail below. From the essence of matter, power, and maturity, when horses are formed in the womb, if mucus pervades the skin, the foal will become white. The color of wind will become blue. Bile will produce black. From the mixture of mucus and bile, the color of the horse will become yellowish-brown. If blood and bile are reduced, and mucus is also less, reaching the skin of the foal, the color will become spotted. If blood increases, and mucus and bile are less, reaching the skin of the horse, the horse will become reddish-brown. When bile increases, and blood and mucus are less, reaching the skin of the foal, the horse will become dark brown. Use this method to examine, from the mixture of mucus and blood, and the mixture of blood and bile, the horse will become yellowish-brown. From the mixture of wind, bile, mucus, and blood, the colors of the horses will become diverse.
