Only that should be said. The one who is wise in all kings, Should carefully examine servants. The one who relies on truth and dharma, Should always protect the country, The army of others is harmful, Always protect the land with dharma. Like the horizontal spread of a pleasure garden, Only picking flowers, Like a charcoal maker, Should not be cut from the root. While milking and drinking milk, Do not kill the cow. Similarly, the king's country, Enjoy after knowing the time. If the cow's thigh is broken, Milking will not get milk. Similarly, if the country is harmed in an improper way, It will not increase. The country should be used like honey, Do not kill the bees. Just as the owner milks from the cow, The king should protect the land in the same way. Therefore, with all efforts, The land should be protected afterwards, If the lands are well protected, Life and Fame, reputation, and army increase. Even if the steadfast ones get poverty, They will not be completely destroyed, Even if the moon falls into the mouth of Rahu, Will it not appear again? Singer, dancer, painter, Musician and astrologer, Meaningful treatises, archery teachers, The owner of the land should strive to protect. For servants, for no reason, Whoever gets angry, That is like a black snake biting, Afflicted by the poison of sin. The king, for the fickle and deceitful, Should always use honesty. Be kind to the bad, be cunning to the cunning, Be honest in heart to the honest. Be firm to the unstable, The same is true for heretics. Like the behavior of a peacock, Gather servants and retinues with generosity. Servants and retinues are proud of wealth, Whoever opposes the king, And let the weak enter the war, Will be overwhelmed by the enemy's power. The owner of the land should always, without reason, Not be angry and frown, Servants are not without wealth, The king's law should be protected. The owner of the land should be far away from play and, Attachment to pleasure. Even living at home, even to the enemy, Should be subdued with ease. Diligence and bravery are firm, Wisdom and ability suppress others. Whatever of the six virtues, Even the gods will rejoice in him. Whoever desires the kingdom, Striv
