He is the accomplisher, his stability decays and changes, instability ends only in decay. Give food in moderation of diet, be able to please the excellent woman, give from the manner of wealth, the fruit of asceticism is not small. The fruit of knowledge is fire offering, the fruit of hearing is discipline and taming, the fruit of a wife is joy and son, the fruit of wealth is enjoyment and giving. A daughter with good lineage and wisdom, even if ugly, should be taken. One should tame the beautiful one. Where are such women? Even from poison, nectar can be taken. Even from a child, good words can be heard. Gold and women from impurity, jewels can also be taken from a bad lineage. The king's friend is not constant, a snake has nothing but poison. Wherever a woman is born, there is no lineage without fault. A daughter should be given to a good lineage, a son should be taught knowledge, an enemy should be given to poverty, a friend should be given to the Dharma. Servants and ornaments, etc., should be placed in suitable places. It is not reasonable to place a jewel on the head on the foot. Like the fragrance and color of a flower, there are two ways of the holy: either revered by all the world, or hidden in the forest. Horses and elephants, iron, wood and stone, clothes, water, men and women, the difference is great from difference. Even if the stable one becomes poor, his courage and virtue will not decline. Although the fire faces downwards, the flame never goes down. A good horse does not need to be whipped, just as a lion cannot bear the sound of a dragon. Pointing fingers at others is unbearable for the wise. Wise people, if their wealth declines, or if they leave their homeland, do not bow down to the inferior. Even if people are free from pride and are extremely poor, they mostly do not drink the warm blood of elephants. An enemy who has once been at odds, if he wants to reconcile again, is like a pregnant mule, approaching the lord of death. Even if the son of an enemy speaks sweetly, the wise should not let him go, for he will cause harm at another time, and the poisonous leaves are also very unbearable.

Na. Like a thorn stuck in the foot, remove it with the hand. By the method of bestowing favor, an enemy can be taken by an enemy. Never harbor thoughts of harming those who cause harm, Like a tree by the water's edge, only oneself will fall. By increasing harm through wealth, closely examine what is right and wrong. Wealth can bring destruction and strife, therefore, examine it thoroughly with wisdom. Even if one becomes a wise and learned person, affairs should be accomplished through consultation. Not only is it beautiful when prosperous, but it should also be beautiful when declining. Regarding the accumulation of wealth and grain, as well as seeking knowledge, And for food and trade profits, one should always not abandon shame. Wonders, spectacles, fearlessness, shame, Dharma, generosity, discipline. If these five are not present, one should not go there. Those who are arrogant and haughty are the suffering of beings. A king who possesses universal love is like a cloud. One who is attached to food and drink is cruel and obese. A king who accomplishes tasks through mantras is like a snake. One who has two tongues and harbors poison, constantly seeking opportunities, A king who is extremely attached to one view is like a snake. With all effort, a king should abandon cruelty. If a king is not negligent, even distant matters can be obtained. Even if the king is alone, with wise listeners, He can make everything happy and enrich all beings. One who lives on yogurt, and a king who is despised, That is not a landowner, nor will servants attend to him. For those who are extremely attached to greed, a long lineage cannot be maintained. Fish that are attached to rotten meat are also the same. Not everyone knows everything, there is no one who knows everything. Reaching the extreme in one field, knowledgeable people are rare. In the world, there is no omniscient one, nor is there an extremely foolish one, Knowledge can be superior, intermediate, or inferior, Whoever knows something is wise. The End of the Third Chapter of "The Treatise on the Laws of King Chanakya." The characteristics of the landowner himself and the servants.
