By enduring. The one who knows the meaning of the treatises, Here, even the lame are many. The sharp point of a sword, Is difficult to find, one who conquers enemies. Even wealthy barbarians have it, Even brave animals have it. Speaking of various meaningful words, The holy ones are rare everywhere. There is no sandalwood on every mountain, There are no pearls on every elephant. Speaking of true meaningful words, Wise men are not everywhere either. To know virtue, that itself becomes virtue, Without virtue, that itself becomes a fault. The water of a river, even if it is very faultless, If it goes to the ocean, it becomes unfit to drink. The one who has virtue delights in virtue, The one who does not have virtue is not pleased by virtue. The bee comes from the forest to the lotus, But the frog, even if it stays together, is not like that. The fame of the wise, Increases within the wise themselves. A precious gem is precious, Like a hero on the battlefield. A swan is not beautiful in a flock of crows, A fine horse is not beautiful in a flock of donkeys, A lion is not beautiful in a flock of foxes, A wise man is not beautiful in a flock of fools. Whoever is honored on the head by the great, That very one is thought of as grass by the inferior. The stupa that the wise prostrate to, The crows use as a cushion. Even if I have countless, But others have a little, The holy ones like the one without virtue, This conduct is very wonderful. The virtue of the all-knowing, Is known only by the all-knowing himself. The weight of the earth, Is known only by the infinite one. If others praise others, Even the one who does not have it becomes virtuous. If virtue praises itself, Even if it is Indra, it becomes unrespected. Where the one who has virtue is not honored, Why does the wise man go there? In a city of naked people without clothes, What can the bather do? Alas, this foolish world, To have one's own continuum accomplished, Is better than following what others have done, The copper vessel is lost and not found. The jester and the wise man, To laugh at the fool is the best. The jester finds wealth, But the wise man goes empty-handed without wealth. With a constant stream full of various meanings, The wise man spends his time. The poor man, impoverished by the Dharma, Even when he sleeps, it is like fighting.

. If many people gather together, they will not rely on the merits of the holy. What is the use of such a person even if they are born of suffering by their own mother? The behavior of the wise is reason, the behavior of the cuckoo is beautiful sound, the behavior of asceticism is patience, and the behavior of women is affliction. Astrology and sects, Dakini mantras and mantra reciters, should grasp the essence of meaning, and do not comment on the sound. The knowledge placed in books and the wealth sought from others are neither wealth nor knowledge when the time of need comes. All the merits of learning crafts are merely a means of earning a living with merit. Why not give the wisdom to cut off samsara? Do not give teachings to anyone without investigation, and see the situation of the monkey's position and no position. Some people focus on speaking, and some people can accomplish things without speaking. Lotus has no flowers and fruits, pomegranate has fruits and flowers. The fruit of Ketaka, although it can block all water, cannot block water droplets by just saying its name. If you are proficient in the scriptures but do not practice them, it is like holding a lamp in your hand, and the blind cannot see the road. Just like the waxing and waning of the moon, relying on the holy and the non-holy, merit will grow from small to large, and the vast will also decrease. It is better for the wise to be enemies, and it is not good for the unwise to be friends. It is like a thief guarding a Brahmin, and a monkey touching the king's eyes. It is better to be with the wise, the tamed, the contented, and the truthful, even in death, than to be with the bad people and their kingdom. The poison of a snake and the poison of a bad person, the poison of a bad person is more terrible than that of a snake. The poison of a snake can be treated with medicine and mantras, what can be used to calm the poison of a bad person? A bad person is helped by a hundred merits, and even if he is happy, he will speak harsh words. Whether it is a person of noble lineage or a steadfast person, a person worthy of praise will not abandon merit even if he is poor. People with bad nature are like the characteristics of a scale, rising slightly more and lowering slightly less. Even if smeared with sandalwood, musk, and camphor
