The measure called "Bhara," whether it is dry, wet, or liquid, is the same as "Tula," only two hundred "Srangs," and should not be counted as double like other calculations. The snow mountain and the piercing mountain almost cover the earth. Among them, the former is cool and beneficial, while the medicine of the piercing mountain has the nature of fire. The meaning of this passage is that the nature of the two mountains, the snow mountain and the piercing mountain, almost covers this earth. Among these two, the former, that is, the medicines born from the snow mountain, are cool and beneficial in nature, because they have the nature of tranquility and coldness. The nature of the piercing mountain is warm, so it should be known that it has the nature of fire. "The Essence of the Eight Branches, Explanation of the Meaning of Words, Moonlight" is the work of the scholar who loves the moon. The diseases of the remaining seven branches always occur and are difficult to understand and recognize, so in order to clearly explain the branches such as infant care, the "Subsequent Medical Tantra," this supreme work, was created. Moreover, in order to care for infants and make offerings, infant care is discussed first. The following content will be explained as before. The scripture on infant care and service is the chapter on infant care rituals, which will be discussed. This passage says so. The great sages, such as the son of common knowledge, said this. The meaning of this passage is that it will also be explained as before, and in order to show that this is not something fabricated at will, this sentence of scripture is quoted. Immediately after the birth of the baby, remove the fetal dirt and clean it by applying turmeric oil. After that, in order to alleviate the pain caused by birth, Bala sesame oil should be instilled. It means that, after that, in order to cleanse the ears, two stones should be struck near the ears of that child, and the striking should be brought close and a sound should be made. Then, this mantra should be recited in the right ear of that child. You who have come from limb to limb, you are born manifest from the heart. You who are called "My own son," may you live to be a hundred years old. May you live a hundred years and enjoy a hundred autumns. May you obtain longevity, and may the stars, directions, night, and day protect you. This is a verse from the mantra described in the Rigveda, and it should be recited. After becoming comfortable, the navel is tied with thread four fingers below. After that, cut it off and fix the navel. It means that, after the child is born from the womb and the suffering is gradually pacified, and comfort of complete peace is obtained, four fingers below the hanging navel, cut it with a sharp weapon before tying it with thread, and then tie the thread on the back of the navel and fix it.
