To harmonize kanxi, one should consume sesame oil, ghee, meat broth, and honey in order. As Brahma or the son of Brahma said. Even if explained with distinctions of words, there is no superiority or inferiority. Due to the power of the speaker, the efficacy of the medicine becomes superior. Therefore, abandoning jealousy, one should rely on the middle way. If others argue that due to the difference of the speaker, the efficacy of the substance also becomes excellent. That is not so, because sesame oil is beneficial for wind disorders, ghee is beneficial for bile disorders, and honey is beneficial for phlegm disorders. Like this, it is beneficial in order, as said by Brahma, or said by the son of Brahma, Samakumara, or with the word "or," we and others have already said. That is transmitted orally from them from one generation to another, without mantras, the difference indicated by the sound of words is not a difference in efficacy. It is not because of the difference of the speaker that the medicine becomes excellent. Therefore, abandoning jealousy towards the non-abiding, one should not rely on the impartial middle way and abide. One should also know which treatise is suitable for one's own time and intelligence. One should examine and know "this is unnecessary," and one should not be attached to the non-abiding. If you are happy because it is said by a sage, not only Caraka and Vagbhata, why not study what is done by sheep and others? Therefore, one should take the well-spoken. If you say this, I like the medical treatise spoken by the sage, therefore I study it, I will not study your treatise. In that case, not only the treatises of Caraka and Vagbhata, why do you not study the scriptures spoken by the sage sheep and others? If one should study everything done by the sage, then because of liking the well-spoken, all doctors should study Caraka and Vagbhata extensively. Even if one enjoys combining, one should accept and learn what I have said, this is its meaning. This, from the ocean of life's wisdom, having extracted the essence from the essence, through detailed combination, whatever good is obtained, may beings therefore see the truth. This is to say, using these words to write the text, up to this point, the treatise on healing is completed, and it is said for the sake of dedicating the roots of virtue. This tantra called "Essence of Eight Branches" is like an essence, and the meaning of the text is elaborately combined into words. Because, the collection of words of life's wisdom is as deep and vast as the ocean, and it has become the essence. The meaning of essence is, just as the heart of beings, although located in one part of the body, pervades the entire body. Similarly, this "Eight Branches" pervades all life's wisdom that possesses eight branches, and because its existence is in accordance with the nature of essence, it is called essence. Like this, from the essential points of the meaning of essence, extracting and collecting, elaborately combining and compiling the meaning of the text into words, from which the root of virtue is obtained, which becomes a sacred cause, whatever sacred root of virtue is obtained and found, may all these worlds contained by the five paths be filled with the supreme happiness of all happiness, and possess the happiness of seeing the truth, this is the subsequent dedication. The commentary called "Essence of Eight Branches, Moonbeams of Word Meaning," composed definitively by the teacher who loves the moon, this is the explanation of the fortieth chapter of the latter position. The glorious Pakhol, the chief of doctors, has transcended the wisdom of life, possessing immaculate knowledge, I have explained his work. The commentary named "Meaningful Explanation," clearly and concisely summarized, called "Moonbeams of Word Meaning," is for the students to be always happy, and whatever has not been said here, or any good explanation, all of these are due to my errors in understanding, not the fault of my guru.
