应当这样做。具有特征并且具有例证，应当知晓此论著就是这样。就像无垢的太阳轮，遣除一切黑暗的聚合，使一切事物都显现一样。其中，续部的过失是具有怀疑，没有意义，语句重复，次第错乱，不具仪轨，过于繁多，相违等等。此续部也周遍存在于一切医方论著中，广大，无垢且无过失。此续追随正士大仙常识之子等广大且无垢的论典，此续如大海般深邃且能进入。此续也阐明了梵天所说的名为“总集”的广大论典之义，此续也阐明和显示了总集的意义。搅拌医方八支之海，从中获得八支总集的甘露之聚，为了使那些不努力和懈怠的人高兴，而将此续单独分出。所谓“搅拌医方八支之海，从中获得八支总集的甘露之聚，为了使那些不努力和懈怠的人高兴，而将此续单独分出。” 其中的医方具有八支，即是医方八支。它就像大海一样，能产生甘露，与法相应，与意义深邃相应，因此称为大海。从中通过搅拌和彻底搅动的方式努力，就能获得八支总集的巨大甘露之聚。从获得八支总集的甘露之聚中，为了使那些意义重大且具有重大需求，以及那些不努力和懈怠的医生们感到高兴，因此将名为“八支精要”的续部单独分离开来。此续从伟大的教证中出名，并且能立即显示果报，因此就像咒语一样，

It should be done like this. It has characteristics and examples, and it should be known that this treatise is like that. Just like the immaculate sun wheel, it dispels all the gatherings of darkness and makes all things appear. Among them, the faults of the tantra are having doubts, being meaningless, repeating words, having disordered sequences, not having rituals, being too numerous, being contradictory, and so on. This tantra also pervades all medical treatises, is vast, immaculate, and without faults. This tantra follows the vast and immaculate treatises of great sages such as the son of Changshi, and this tantra is as deep as the ocean and can be entered. This tantra also clarifies the meaning of the vast treatise called "Collection" spoken by Brahma, and this tantra also clarifies and shows the meaning of the collection. From churning the ocean of the eight branches of medicine, one obtains the collection of the nectar of the eight branches. In order to make those who do not work hard and are lazy happy, this tantra is separated out separately. The so-called "churning the ocean of the eight branches of medicine, obtaining the collection of the nectar of the eight branches, in order to make those who do not work hard and are lazy happy, this tantra is separated out separately." The medical treatment with eight branches is the eight branches of medical treatment. It is like the ocean, it can produce nectar, it is in accordance with the Dharma, and it is in accordance with the profound meaning, so it is called the ocean. 应当正确地应用。就像咒语的果实，对于以何种原因消除障碍不作考察，仅仅以坚信不疑就能成就一样，对于此（药物）的应用，也仅仅以坚信不疑就能成就，不应进行错误的推测和考察。如果阅读、理解和实践此（医典），就能获得长寿、无病、财富、幸福和名声。所谓“通过阅读、理解和实践此（医典），就能获得长寿、无病、财富、幸福和名声”是指，如果阅读、理解和掌握这部名为《八支精要》的医学经典，并按照前面所说的那样应用和实践，那么就一定能毫无疑问地获得长寿、无病、财富、幸福和名声。如果阅读此书，就能理解其精要，因此，其他医生无法超越自己习惯的（医术）。如果精通其他广大的经典，却无法超越，那也没什么可奇怪的。所谓“如果阅读此书，就能理解其精要，因此，其他医生无法超越自己习惯的（医术）。如果精通其他广大的经典，却无法超越，那也没什么可奇怪的”是指，如果阅读和研究这部名为《八支精要》的著作，就能理解和掌握名为《精要》的医学论著的含义。同样，对于自己习惯的（医术），如果反复地学习和实践，那么不依赖于这位医生，其他人就无法超越，也无法通过怀疑来驳倒和战胜。如果通过艰苦地学习和精通其他广大的医学经典，却无法在实践中灵活运用，那是因为这是通过巨大的努力才能获得的成果，所以并不奇怪。而这部（《八支精要》）是用较小的努力就能获得巨大的成就，所以才非常奇妙。如果仅仅学习了《查拉卡本集》，那么甚至连书中提到的疾病名称都无法了解。如果仅仅学习了《查拉卡本集》的治疗方法，却不加以实践，那么如何用这些令人困惑的方法来治疗病人呢？所谓“如果仅仅学习了《查拉卡本集》，那么甚至连书中提到的疾病名称都无法了解。如果仅仅学习了《查拉卡本集》的治疗方法，却不加以实践，那么如何用这些令人困惑的方法来治疗病人呢？”是指，如果仅仅学习和精通了《查拉卡本集》，那么甚至连仙人乐闻等所著的书中提到的各种疾病，如小病、头痛、眼病等

Just as the fruit of mantras, without investigating by what cause obstacles are eliminated, can be accomplished solely by unwavering faith, similarly, for the application of this (medicine), it can be accomplished solely by unwavering faith, and erroneous speculations and investigations should not be made. If one reads, understands, and practices this (medical text), one will obtain longevity, health, wealth, happiness, and fame. The saying, "Through reading, understanding, and practicing this (medical text), one will obtain longevity, health, wealth, happiness, and fame," means that if one reads, understands, and masters this medical classic called "Essence of the Eight Branches," and applies and practices it as mentioned before, then one will certainly and undoubtedly obtain longevity, health, wealth, happiness, and fame. If one reads this book, one can understand its essence, therefore, other doctors cannot surpass their own accustomed (medical skills). If one is proficient in other vast classics, but cannot surpass, that is not surprising. The saying, "If one reads this book, one can understand its essence, therefore, other doctors cannot surpass their own accustomed (medical skills). If one is proficient in other vast classics, but cannot surpass, that is not surprising," means that if one reads and studies this work called "Essence of the Eight Branches," one can understand and master the meaning of the medical treatise called "Essence." Similarly, for one's own accustomed (medical skills), if one repeatedly studies and practices them, then without relying on this doctor, others cannot surpass, nor can they refute and defeat through doubt. If one learns and masters other vast medical classics through arduous study, but cannot apply them flexibly in practice, that is because it is a result obtained through great effort, so it is not surprising. But this ("Essence of the Eight Branches") is able to obtain great achievements with little effort, so it is very wonderful. If one only studies the "Charaka Samhita," then one cannot even understand the names of the diseases mentioned in the book. If one only studies the treatment methods of the "Charaka Samhita," but does not put them into practice, then how can one treat patients with these confusing methods? The saying, "If one only studies the 'Charaka Samhita,' then one cannot even understand the names of the diseases mentioned in the book.
