That is to say, the treatment that enters like fire and eliminates diseases needs to possess the four branches, namely the doctor, the patient, the nurse, and the four merits of the medicine. From the four merits, four more are derived, such as "intelligence" and so on. These teachings should be possessed and complete. Similarly, the twelve factors such as harm and being harmed should be carefully examined before use. Otherwise, if it cannot destroy the collection of diseases, then there should be no doubt about the treatment. This treatise can destroy the firm rope of untimely death. Just as a sharp weapon cannot cut the rope, it can only be cut by medical means. Similarly, for those who are afraid of disease, this treatise is like a protective amulet without mantra blessing. This treatise is the nectar that eliminates the suffering of beings, truly and without falsehood. If it exists in a bad vessel, it will immediately turn into the deadly poison Halāhala. That is to say, this medical treatise can eliminate the suffering of beings, and can destroy the suffering of old age, sickness, and death, so it is like nectar. Because in order to obtain nectar, gods and asuras went through great suffering and effort to obtain it, but this treatise has no suffering.
