The essence of nutmeg refers to the hard part of the inner essence. If this essence is boiled with milk and consumed, it can quickly eliminate plagues. Here, the dosage of medicines, the amount of water, the amount of residue left after boiling, and the amount of milk should be studied based on the common practices, reasoning, and the methods described in the root texts of medical treatises used by experienced elderly doctors. Therefore, it is reasonable to first boil the medicine with water and then boil it with milk using that water. Here, the dosage of water and medicine should be verified by following the medical treatises. Furthermore, it is said in other classics: Whenever one wants to prepare food, drinks, and medicines, such as barley porridge, meat broth, meat juice, meat broth, etc., the dosage should be determined according to worldly customs, or in an appropriate amount, so that it is neither excessive nor insufficient. For food and drinks, add medicine in proportion to the heat. Other than that, barley porridge, etc., will cause diseases. This is what is said. The wise who understand the scriptures explain it this way: Here, the proportion of medicine should be controlled so that it does not spread excessively and become conspicuous; that is appropriate. Then, in order to reduce or increase the potency of milk, such as the weight, one can use one, two, three, or four times the amount of water to milk. The milk should be judged and boiled according to the specific condition of the disease. In the milk-boiling recipes, all the medicines mentioned should be boiled in water, and the milk should not be boiled with that water. Otherwise, some medicines such as ghee, milk, sugar, etc., should not be boiled, but directly mixed with milk, and then the milk should be boiled. These are the instructions on the ritual of boiling milk. Milk should be boiled in this way. For example, regarding boiling licorice in milk, the scriptures say: Twenty parts of licorice are boiled in three times the amount of water, and drinking the remaining milk eliminates indigestion and various diseases. This passage indicates that milk is essential and, due to the needs of the recipe, it is the main ingredient. Similarly, only four ounces of dried garlic are cooked, then added to milk.

Make eight times the amount of water. Drink the remaining milk completely. Thus it is said. When the disease ripens and goes to the place of dissolution, A strong purgative increases the fire element, Free from epidemics, the mind is joyful, It quickly promotes appetite. Thus it is said, when the disease ripens and the place of dissolution goes below the navel, if a strong purgative and enema are used, it increases the heat of the fire, increases the body's strength and vitality, frees and eliminates epidemics, the mind is joyful and happy, and it can open the appetite and take food. A purgative for bile or a mixture of phlegm and bile, Eliminates what has entered the place of bile. Thus it is said, drinking a compound of purgatives can eliminate bile diseases that reside and depend in the place of bile, or eliminate phlegm that has entered the place of bile. A mild medicine cures all three diseases, Eliminates what depends on the place of dissolution. Thus it is said, taking a mild medicine can eliminate all three diseases, such as wind, that depend on the place of dissolution, below the navel. Milk eliminates phlegm and bile diseases, When the tailbone, back, and waist hurt, When the fire element is high and the stool is blocked, A mild purgative should be combined with a downward-moving agent. Thus it is said, in this time of epidemic, milk for patients with phlegm and bile diseases can cause pain in the tailbone and other areas. If the fire element is too high and the stool is blocked and hardened, a mild oily purgative should be combined with a downward-moving agent. Neem leaves, Patola leaves, Puce shell and Dongga, Sthiravala, Posoncha, Gzema, Puce shell, Balaka. Boil in milk or water, After drinking the remaining milk completely, Cardamom, camphor, and other spices, Long pepper and poisonous buttercup. Thus it is said, boil neem leaves and other medicines with milk or water, drink the remaining milk completely, then mix with cardamom and other spices, and the mild purgative taken after mixing with ghee and honey can subdue and eliminate all epidemic diseases. Here, the neem and other medicines should be added to eight times the amount of milk, and the same amount of water should also be added. Although it is said that the remaining substance after boiling is four times the amount of the medicine, because it is said that the remaining substance is milk, it should not be made into four times the amount. Here, the spice is one-eighth of the amount of the medicine.
