我应亲近奉行。怀妊悦意有益者，丈夫眷属应敬重。如是说者，对于怀妊之妇女，丈夫与仆从眷属等，以怜悯且有益之心对待，以悦意且有益之行来敬重侍奉，则胎儿得以良好地成长与发展。酥油新油及乳等，应恒常喂食于彼。如是说者，又应以恒常喂食怀妊妇女酥油新油等来敬重侍奉。房事过度与操劳过度，重负与衣物沉重，白日睡眠夜晚不眠，薄垫矮座而坐，忧伤愤怒恐惧与厌倦，用力与贪欲禁绝，斋戒道路行走，辛辣与咸味，沉重与便秘，粗食，穿着红衣与悬崖，井边观看，食肉饮酒，仰卧以及妇女，凡是不悦意者皆应舍弃。如是说者，又怀妊妇女应舍弃房事过度等。此处所说之这些不仅应舍弃，凡是饮食与行为等事物，过去曾多次生育子女之妇女不悦意且有害者，或当时有经验之妇女不悦意且有害者，皆应舍弃与抛弃。这些词句之意义容易理解。同样放血针灸泻药浴，下药八月之内不宜行。如是说者，不仅是这些，放血针灸以及放血之事，还有用泻药和沐浴来净化之事，以及用尼汝诃等的下药这三者，在八个月之内也不应进行。这些会导致胎儿坏死，或腰部干枯或死亡。如是说者，如是先前所示之房事过度等，若为孕妇所为，则如因导致果残缺一般，会导致胎儿未成熟而坏死。或者腰部干枯，胎儿无法在子宫内生长，或者子宫内的有情众生死亡而失去生命。风能使胎儿发育，导致驼背聋盲侏儒变。胆病患者易生白发黄疸儿。

I should closely adhere to and practice. The pregnant woman who is pleasing and beneficial, should be respected by her husband and retinue. As it is said, towards the pregnant woman, the husband and servants and retinue, with compassion and beneficial intentions, should treat her with pleasing and beneficial actions to show respect and service, then the fetus will be able to grow and develop well. Ghee, fresh oil, and milk, etc., should be constantly fed to her. As it is said, also, one should constantly feed the pregnant woman ghee, fresh oil, etc., to show respect and service. Excessive sexual activity and excessive labor, heavy burdens and heavy clothing, sleeping during the day and not sleeping at night, sitting on thin cushions and low seats, sorrow, anger, fear, and weariness, forceful exertion and desire should be forbidden, fasting, walking on roads, spicy and salty tastes, heavy and constipated foods, coarse food, wearing red clothes and cliffs, watching wells, eating meat and drinking alcohol, lying on one's back, and women, whatever is displeasing should all be abandoned. The meaning of these words is easy to understand. Similarly, bloodletting, acupuncture, purgatives, and bathing, administering medicine should not be done within eight months.
