Then, those two (methods) explain the manner of gradually abandoning and adopting, saying: 'The unsuitable part should be gradually accustomed to, the part of the part should be completely abandoned, beneficial things should also be treated in the same way, these two or three should make a decision.' This means that whatever is unsuitable and not beneficial, those that need to be gradually accustomed to, should be accustomed to in parts, that is, abandon one-fourth of its own limit. Or, if you eat too much, it is to divide the part into parts, and even one-sixteenth should be abandoned. Or, the reason for saying "or" is that even if it is unsuitable, there are harmless situations, but if abandoning it harms the body, the author used the word "or." After abandoning like this, those that are beneficial and suitable should also be taken in the same order, even if it is taken away, one-fourth or one-fourth of one-fourth should be taken. In this way, the unsuitable is abandoned in parts, that is, is it discarded without regard to the order, or is it discarded with regard to the order? Therefore, it is said: 'These two or three make a decision.' This means that these things mentioned earlier can make all the unsuitable things almost disappear in two or three days. Therefore, a decision must be made in the middle, and then the unsuitable is abandoned by one-fourth or one-sixteenth. Similarly, beneficial things can almost increase all the beneficial things in two or three days. Therefore, a decision must be made in the middle, and then one-fourth or one-sixteenth must be taken and accustomed to. The meaning here is: abandon one part that will become unsuitable, and then add one suitable part to the three unsuitable parts to eat. Then on the second day, eat the accustomed part of the unsuitable. In this way, a decision is made with one unsuitable part. On the second, third, and fourth days, mix three unsuitable parts and one suitable part to eat. On the fifth day, eat all the unsuitable. In this way, a decision is made with two unsuitable parts. On the sixth and seventh days, eat three unsuitable parts and one suitable part. On the ninth day, it is all unsuitable. In this way, a decision is made with three unsuitable parts. Similarly, just like reducing one unsuitable part and then adding one beneficial part.
