Yes, what is beneficial for gaining weight is not necessarily beneficial for losing weight. Or is it due to drinking appropriately with food, etc.? Or is it due to the formula, etc.? Or is it due to the power of the substance, that everything is beneficial for both losing and gaining weight? Similarly, having the quality of roughness, sharpness allows it to enter the fine veins. Cleansing and pervading the body's gateways means making those filled with phlegm, wind, fat, and impurities free from impurities. Similarly, if consumed appropriately, it can also eliminate and destroy wind and phlegm. What is called 'appropriate' refers to an even mixture. Having understood the aspects of dosage, place, and time, etc., whatever is drunk in accordance with that is reasonable or appropriate. Therefore, it is said in the scriptures, 'Therefore, this formula is explained, solely for the sake of becoming happy.' Similarly, having understood strength, time, place, one's own nature, compatible companions, the nature of the disease, and the order of age, drinking in accordance with that is like drinking nectar. Other than that, drinking unreasonably and without analysis is like poison. Drinking unreasonably means drinking too little, wrongly, or too much. Moreover, it is said in the Great Collection that indulging in alcohol, etc., steals away intelligence, stability, and memory. New wine is heavy and causes faults, old wine does the opposite. This means that among all wines, new wine is the heaviest and causes disturbance and generation of various faults. All wines that are old and fermented, possessing a wealth of color, smell, and taste, do the opposite of the previously mentioned new wine. Although it eliminates diseases, it increases bile and destroys wind and phlegm, as previously stated. Those who engage in hot practices should not drink it, nor should the weary, hungry, those in danger, and the sick. Do not drink very rough new wine, or cloudy wine that has not been thoroughly stirred. This means that among all wines, those that are compatible with hot and warm practices
