If it becomes swollen, apply warm ghee to it. For those who have had blood drawn and extracted from the body, apply cooling medicine, or use enemas, etc., to disturb the wind. For wound pain and itching, carefully apply warm ghee. This is the explanation of the essence of the Eight Branches, called "Moonlight on the Meaning of Words," composed by the teacher Chandrakantha. The explanation of the twenty-sixth chapter is complete. After that, the chapter on the ritual of bloodletting will be explained. The reason for writing this is that it was previously said that bloodletting should be performed on the blood that pervades the body. Therefore, this is written after that. The act of puncturing the veins is bloodletting, and its ritual should be performed in this way. This is the manner of the action, and its chapter will be explained. Slightly sweet and salty, neither cold nor hot, nor thick, like lotus, lamp wick, and water, moist, like madder, safflower, and blood, red. Clear and red, it itself sustains the body. This means that clear and disease-free blood is slightly sweet, slightly salty, and neither cold nor hot, maintaining a balance of cold and heat, possessing the qualities of both the moon and fire, and is not thick, flowing easily, and is red and clear like lotus flowers, fireflies, etc., which is without fault. That disease-free blood itself sustains the body. This is usually due to disturbances of bile and phlegm diseases. This means that red and clear blood is usually, that is, in most cases, due to foods that increase bile and phlegm, such as food, behavior, and medicine, and behaviors that cause disease to be disturbed and increased. The reason for saying "usually" is that sometimes it is also increased by wind. It causes harm, causing indigestion, spleen disease, tumors, decreased body temperature, leprosy, mouth, eye, and head diseases, intoxication, thirst, fever, leprosy, ringworm, bile blood, belching, acid reflux, and dizziness.

Underneath..., diseased blood causes harm, leading to conditions like pyodermatitis. The three words 'mouth' etc., should be combined with the word 'disease.' Turbid disease is a mixture of wind and blood. Cold, warm, oily, rough, etc., whichever disease is cured, if it is not well managed, it is caused by blood disorder. That is to say, for methods such as cold, warm, oily, rough, heavy, light, etc., just as they appear in medical treatments, whichever of the wind, bile, or phlegm diseases is cured and treated, if it is not well managed and approached, it should be known that the disease is caused by blood disorder. It is not limited to the previously mentioned pyodermatitis and other diseases. For cases of blood accumulation, blood should be drained through bloodletting. That is to say, in order to drain the accumulated diseased blood mentioned earlier, bloodletting should be performed. Also, those under sixteen and over seventy should not have bloodletting. Those who are weak, have rough stomachs, have been excessively heated, have not been heated, and those threatened by wind diseases, pregnant women, women who have just given birth, those with undigested food, those with blood-bile, coughing phlegm, difficulty breathing, those with fever and diarrhea, epidemics and vomiting, urticaria, all limbs swollen, and those taking oily medicines, similarly, those who have undergone the five treatments should not have bloodletting. That is to say, for bloodletting, children under sixteen and the elderly over seventy should not be treated with bloodletting. Similarly, for those who are weak and have rough stomachs, those who have been excessively heated and those who have not been heated, up to those taking oily medicines, and those who have undergone the five treatments, namely emetics, strong purgatives and laxatives, lubricants, and head purgatives, those who have undergone these five treatments should not have bloodletting. Do not perform bloodletting without tightening the bandage, and do not perform bloodletting on areas where veins are not visible or cannot be seen, unless it is a serious disease, do not perform bloodletting during cold, hot, rainy, or windy weather. That is to say, do not perform bloodletting without tightening with a bandage. Similarly, do not perform bloodletting on areas where veins are not visible or cannot be seen. Unless it is a serious disease that must be treated immediately, do not perform bloodletting during cold, hot, rainy, or windy weather, for serious diseases,
