A bad formulation can lead to uncleanliness of the heart and stomach, loss of appetite, etc., while a good formulation has none of the faults mentioned above. A formulation that is too strong has the characteristics of producing phlegm (Tibetan: བད་ཀན།), bile, and feces, etc. If the formulation is good: After washing with gentle warm water, give a little meat broth and rice. It means that if the formulation is correct, or the formulation becomes good, then that person should be washed with slightly warm water, and given a little broth and rice from a dry place. For diseases caused by strong purgatives: If the excrement is cleared out, then washing with warm water and eating in the correct way will heal. It means that the person should clear the excrement of the disease through strong purgatives. The disease can become clean and pure by washing with gentle warm water, and similarly by eating food in the correct way. If weakened by wind: A gentle oil should be given again immediately. It means that if one becomes weak and harmed by a wind disease, then a gentle oil should be given immediately at that time, just like nourishing and treating with oil. This is like understanding good and bad, and strong like drinking oil. It means that the formulation of gentle oil is good, bad, and strong in three ways, and it will become like drinking oil. That is like this: Wind is the cause of comfort, the heat of fire blazes. The stool is oily and unformed. Not wanting oil and becoming balanced. Oil is good because it eliminates roughness. Too much oil can cause vomiting, and leak from the nose, mouth, and anus. It means that these formulations are good, bad, and have become strong. Anything that exists for a period of time, appears with feces, and when flowing downwards, breath and oil appear together, this is good gentle oil. It means that any oil that exists for a period of time, then appears with feces, and similarly the flow of breath is also good.
