I (the physician) must thoroughly examine and understand the various circumstances, from the subtle to the extremely subtle and difficult to understand, as well as the nature of diseases and medicines, and then determine them. If a physician engages in healing and eliminating diseases using this knowledge, then he will never make mistakes or have problems in treatment and medication preparation, and will be able to fulfill his wishes perfectly. Therefore, it will not be wrong to treat in those places and other places. Among them, what is to be harmed are the body's essence and excrement. Locations include geographical locations and body locations. These locations can be divided into three types: dry, humid, and mixed. Physical and mental strength have three types: innate, time-generated, and combination-generated. There are three types of time: cold, hot, and rainy season. Body temperature has four types: balanced, unbalanced, excessive, and deficient. There are seven types of constitution: each disease exists alone, two diseases exist simultaneously, and various factors are balanced. There are three types of age: child, youth, and old age. There are three types of mental strength: mental strength, passion, and ignorance. There are three types of habits: superior, medium, and inferior. There are two types of food: beneficial and harmful. In this way, diagnosis is made by examining these ten situations separately. Similarly, by examining these ten situations to diagnose subtle and even extremely difficult to understand situations, if these situations can be understood, then there will never be mistakes in treatment. If the physician does not examine these situations, then it will lead to the death of the patient. Is the severity of the disease large or small? Judge by the pulse and the degree of physical weakness. When the harm appears, also be careful not to neglect it. That is to say, for strong pulse and physical weakness, first understand that the severity of the disease is severe and has strong strength, but in reality the body is very weak. Why is this? Because of mental strength and physical

Because it is weak. In this way, due to the weakness of the body and the strength of the body, the extent of the disease, whether large or small, will manifest different harms, but it is not the true characteristic of the disease. The syllable "om" indicates that the extent of the disease, whether large or small, does not only have one manifestation. Therefore, for this condition of the disease, one must first start from the root of the disease, and for all situations, the doctor must not be negligent, this is the meaning to be expressed. Those who are bad doctors, regarding diseases, will mistake a serious illness for a minor illness, and mistake a small illness for a few illnesses, thus leading to incorrect treatment. That is to say, bad doctors are ignorant, and only seeing the superficial phenomena of the disease, they mistake a serious illness for a minor illness. Because they mistake the illness for being few, they determine that the degree of the illness is small, thus leading to incorrect treatment. Small illnesses will cause harm like serious illnesses, and hot illnesses will cause harm like serious illnesses. In this way, minor illnesses will be mistaken for having many harms like serious illnesses, and serious illnesses will be mistaken for being like minor illnesses. Therefore, for minor illnesses, they will give medicine suitable for serious illnesses, and for serious illnesses, they will give medicine suitable for minor illnesses, thus leading to incorrect treatment. Therefore, for the small or weak, for diseases with a large scope, one should administer a large amount. If a small amount is administered, the disease will be greatly provoked. That is to say, because they do that, so because they determine that the degree is small and small, or determine that the strength is small and small, or determine that the scope of the disease is small, so for diseases with a large scope and strength, they administer a large amount of medicine, therefore administering a small amount, the disease will be greatly provoked and stirred up, thus aggravating it again. Administering is also over-administering, and incorrect administration is counterproductive. Not only will dirt be produced, but the body will also become very bad. That is to say, when performing purgatives, because they determine that the disease is serious, they will excessively administer a large amount of purgatives, and incorrectly administer them, that is, for minor illnesses, they will administer purgatives instead. Why is it counterproductive? Because for those with a small nature and small strength, administering purgatives with a large degree and large strength is over-administration, therefore it will only produce dirt and exhaust
