Even these various and different kinds of things, distinguished by different causes or by distinctions such as flowing and non-flowing, are inseparable from and do not transcend the three गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुण, Sanskrit Romanization: guṇa, Literal Chinese meaning: गुण) - courage, dust, and the nature of darkness. They will never be separated from these three गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुण, Sanskrit Romanization: guṇa, Literal Chinese meaning: गुण). Similarly, "The cause of imbalance in one's own elements, in all circumstances, the three दोष (Tibetan: ཉེས་པ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: दोष, Sanskrit Romanization: doṣa, Literal Chinese meaning: दोष) of disease do not separate." Just like the example, the cause of imbalance in one's own elements, in all times and circumstances, is said to be the kind of disease, and it never separates from the three दोष (Tibetan: ཉེས་པ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: दोष, Sanskrit Romanization: doṣa, Literal Chinese meaning: दोष). That is, even if these elements such as wind are factors that maintain the body, if the elements become unbalanced, that is also the cause of disease. Because there is no imbalance without the form of disease and impurity, it is said that it becomes the cause of disease. Here, the word "also" is spoken specifically. "They are the cause of rising, the meeting of incompatible sensory objects, time, and sinful actions." That is, the cause of the rising and disturbance of wind, etc., is: the objects of the senses such as the eyes are inconsistent and incompatible, meeting and association, different times, i.e., cold, warmth, and rain, etc., and similarly, sinful actions, evil deeds of body, speech, and mind in the previous life or in this life, all these are the cause of disturbance and rising of wind, etc. "They become three distinctions through the combination of decrease, increase, and inversion." That is, although the causes of wind, etc., have already been distinguished, through the combination of decrease, increase, and inversion, they become three distinctions, and each of the previous ones becomes three again. "A small combination of sensory objects with their own field, or no combination, is decrease; excessive reliance is increase." That is, when the senses such as the eyes combine with objects such as forms, a small combination with their own field, or not combining with their own field and being incomplete, this is called a decreased combination. In addition, excessive reliance and dependence on one's own field is called an increased combination. Extremely fine light and fear, and very close

And extremely far. Displeasing and unlikable, to look at form with the eyes, this perverse action is endless. This means that perverse action is when one's own sense faculties and their objects, the extremely subtle light, are seen and examined by the eye faculty, which is a perverse action towards one's own object. Likewise, looking at extremely frightening forms, etc., which subsequently disagree and cause harm, are also perverse actions, as they are extremely unpleasant and frightening. Similarly, extremely loud sounds, decay, etc., should be understood as they are, in accordance with the meaning of the senses. This means that gathering in this direction is when the meaning of the senses is seen extremely clearly, and decay, etc., should also be understood as being of the nature of perverse actions. Furthermore, just as hearing unpleasant and intense sounds that cause sorrow, etc., with the ear faculty becomes a perverse action. When something is rotten and decaying, and unpleasant smells such as impure filth are perceived by the nose faculty, then the object of one's own sense, smell, is a perverse action of the nose faculty. The word "etc." indicates that flavors that are excessively salty in the realm of the tongue, etc., and likewise, extremely hot and extremely cold sensations in the realm of touch, etc., are shown to be perverse actions in one's own realm, and it is said that these are the cause of the arising of diseases. All of these were clearly explained by the righteous sage Caraka. Furthermore, looking too much with one's own eyes is an excessive action. Not seeing afterwards is an inferior action. Seeing forms that are subtle, extremely near, extremely far, intense and unpleasant, frightening and hateful, unlikable and terrifying, etc., is a perverse action. Likewise, listening intently to the sound of a large drum being beaten violently, etc., especially at a high pitch, is an excessive action. Not hearing at all is an inferior action. Hearing harsh sounds, sounds devoid of beauty, trembling sounds, and frightening sounds is a perverse action. Likewise, smelling excessively sharp and intense odors of dripping and decaying things is a perverse action. Not smelling in any way.
